-for a Chiefs WR

I agree.

He's going to be tremendous because he can get after the football. He has size and hands - something the Chiefs haven't had at receiver.

He's got some serious ability. Gotta love that Herm called for Huard to throw that fade to Parker, rather than to Bowe.

Awesome.

I do too... Bowe's gonna be a good one.

He decided if they weren't gonna throw to him, He'd go snatch Tony's TD.

He does show talent and promise, not often we have been able to say that about a Chiefs WR selection.

We should be force feeding him the ball by the end of the season like Houston does with Andre Johnson. The kid is a playmaker and needs the ball in his hands as much as possible.

I'm glad I got to see his touchdown catch, which might end up being the best offensive play all year.

And put in a QB that can actually could get him the ball on a consistent basis.

Solari lines up the offense. Solari makes those calls.

Tony G is going to kick his ass if he takes another sure TD away from him. :$2500:

Did anyone else think that Huard wasn't throwing to Bowe on that touchdown?

I liked what I saw from him today, too. He's good at going up and getting the ball in a crowd, and that's something we need.

Agreed. Bowe played well today, better than last week. He's got potential. Too bad he can't throw himself the ball...

Webb impressed the heck out of me, too. He can catch everything, even if the paid-off, corrupt NBA-caliber referees steal catches from him.

Webb has shown that Herm's faith in him is valid

Bowe took the endzone pass away from TG? No, it would have been an incomplete had he let it go.

Bowe even catches balls that arn't his, you gotta love the kid. Stealing from the HOF TE, haha. I think we should draft another WR first round next year too, unless of course Sippio pans out. I don't think I heard his name at all today though... ?

I think Bowe could be the big time WR we've been begging for.

He's the T.O. Michael Irvin type. Perfect for Herm's style of play.

And now he's shown he can catch a ball in traffic.

I like the kid. Lets get him the ball.

Bowe showed today that he is a big time player. Huard threw late and slow to Gonzo and Bowe just makes a play. Then on the fleaflicker, Bowe is pretty well covered and just goes up and gets it. He's the kind of player that you have to give chance to make plays. More than often he will make them. Herm doesn't recognize that though. Bowe wouldn't even be starting if Kennison didn't get hurt.

he has played so much better since Bowe arrived

Huard didn't have any real business throwing to Bowe on that play. He was double covered. But there was a WR that was wide open on either the 10 or 15 yard line.

The best WR in the NFL make plays like that all the time. Huard probably would not have thrown it long had it not been a flea-flicker and designed to go long. Sometimes when you allow a playmaker to make a play, he does it.

I would agree with the thinking if Bowe had really proved that he was a playmaker, but at this point in the season, he hadn't done that. Later in the season, he might be justified in doing so. But the second game in the rooks year.... not so sure.

The sad thing is that Bowe only ended up with 2 receptions. He shows the ability to go up and beat mulitple defenders and he only has 2 receptions. Horrible playcalling.

Bowe proved everything I needed to see on his TD. He played at a different speed than anyone else on the field on that play. He can control his body and lock onto the ball.

Believe me, I'm not defending Huard. He is not an NFL caliber starter by any stretch of the imaginiation. But I won't fault him for going down field to our playmaker.

Will he be able to handle the pressure of being the #1, go to guy as a rookie. We will find out. I think that he will be a good one in the long run, but it is difficult to expect a rookie WR to make a serious impact in his first year, much less his first couple of games.

He does have more upside then a lot of wr that we have had.

I think Kennison's gonna be back pretty soon, so he won't be #1.

If they don't send Parker to the bench I'm gonna be livid. Bowe is an absolute freakin' stud. I'm already falling in love.

Well, first we need to see if Croyle is a legit QB or not. If he is, then we need Sam Baker or Jake Long in the first round. If he's not then we need a QB (Brohm, Woodson, Brennan). Maybe a WR in round 2. I think this is Kennison's last year in KC any way.
