You can win DV style or you can win Hermie style.

It's still a win.

It's hard to be upset about a win. Well...unless it's a one point win over friggin' Ball State.

Really? What about the entire first half of play calling? Screw the win, we only played half a game. How many teams do you think we can beat doing that?

3. Bowe

The negatives

1. the playcalling
2. the coaching
3. Hermie

It's an alright win, it's a team that's very similar to the Chiefs.

I still fear what happens when we play teams that are actually good....

It's nice to get a win, even if it was rather ugly...

The downside is that Bowe made Huard's numbers look a lot better than he did. At least half his completions were terrible throws, made up for by great plays on the receiving end...

We are who we are. You're certainly welcome to be pissed if you want. I'm sure as hell not jumping up and down and beating my chest about it.

We actually were able to throw the ball today. Frankly we should have scored more had the playcalling been better. THROW when they have 8 in the box.

A win feels a helluva lot better than a loss. This team still needs to figure out it's offensive identity. Use of Bowe and Gonzo more would be a nice start...

Yeah, 20/29 206 yards 1 TD 0 int 1 fumble 100.6 rating . . . that's ****ing terrible.

I feel worse about LJ's running game than I do about Huard throwing the ball.

I really feel Croyle will be starting sooner than later. I'm excited about Bowe and the D. There were moments where they looked like the 90's d, and I found myself expecting them to get stops, a feeling I haven't had in a while.

(I thought Huard was afraid to throw down field, but he showed me wrong in the second half.)

And there you have it folks - the reason this win is very unsatisfying. People will look at the stat line and think Huard was fine. Anyone who actually watched the game knows that couldn't be farther from the truth...

If Bowe and Gonzo hadn't been bailing him out on those over-throws his numbers would be horrible.

This is just going to prolong what needs to be done, and now people will be out supporting Huard or acting like this is a playoff team.

Dumb. That's dumb. That's where stupid comments like, "Let's lose so we can get a high draft pick" come from. It's the same line of thought. Having a losing season doesn't mean better things down the road, it might just mean more losing.

Let's face it, that's how Edwards likes to win games, not so much the first half, but in the second that was almost texbook Herm. Score just enough, play good D. That's it.

So far today teams that play like that are 1-4.

Teams scoring 21+ are 8-5 today.

Does great offense equal a win? No. Scoring under 21 sure does look like a loss, though.

It's painfully obvious the fans and the Hunt family have different priorities. The fans want a damned Super Bowl and the Hunts want to keep the fans in the stands.

I'm thrilled, in part because a loss today would have lined us up to finish 13-3, and we would've faced the curse. 14-2 will get us into the Super Bowl, and we're on pace for it.

I agree with that too, we caught another team that is horrid on offense but generally less than 20 will equal a loss in todays NFL.

Well I hope that the owner of a multi-million dollar company would want to keep his customers filling seats and paying him money.

I would hope they would being doing that by trying to win a Super Bowl. It seems they don't care what it takes.
