View Full Version : What is your Age????

06-02-2001, 05:17 AM
Im just curious how old everyone is on this board. I just turned 30 in January. The CHIEFS were still Superbowl champs for the first 9 days of my life..Im hoping I live to see a championship someday!!

06-02-2001, 05:26 AM
I'm 42.
I was a month into my 12th year when the Chiefs won the SB.
Hopefully I won't have to wait another 30 years.

06-02-2001, 05:59 AM
I guess then that I'm a few months older than Milkman. I was also 12 when KC won their only SB. Hopefully I'm still around when they get the chance to win their next SB :D

06-02-2001, 06:59 AM
I'll be 45 in a couple of weeks or so.

Since I plan to live to the ripe old age of 135, I am just about 1/3 done.

Saddled with great expectations.

06-02-2001, 07:26 AM
.............in about 2 decades! hehehehehehe...........

Sorry Gaz, couldn't resist. BTW, you're only as old as you act; therefore, Gaz, without the hair & knees, you're actually about 3/4 of the way to you're goal!

Just trying to cheer you up.............;)

06-02-2001, 07:36 AM
I'll be 50 on August 13!

06-02-2001, 07:38 AM
Damn, grandpas!!!!!!

I'll be 24 tomorrow.

06-02-2001, 07:38 AM
Well, I am 13 years older than Gaz, that would make me....................oh to hell with it, things get very fuzzy at my age. Except the fuzzy things, that is.

I'm 30... and I've been a Broncos' fan since I was about 12 or 13. Too early for clever responses. :-)

06-02-2001, 08:35 AM
I'll be 35, or maybe it's 36? Oh well I guess I'll have to ask the wife later when she awakens.

Oh wait, yea here on my driver's license it says I'll be 35 on Aug 14.

06-02-2001, 09:52 AM
I`ll be 31 in Oct.

06-02-2001, 10:01 AM
I'll be a nice 'ol Rolling Rock in July.

Went to 'ol Muni Stad. (still in mah momma), so I guess one might say I was a Chiefs fan before I was even born. :D

06-02-2001, 10:02 AM
I just turned 21 in January.

I don't even think I was a thought in my parents minds when the Chiefs won the Super Bowl.

The only spectacular memory I have as a Chiefs fan is back when I was 13 and Joe Montana led the Chiefs over Houston in divisional playoffs.

The worst for me was when we lost to Denver in the 1997 playoffs. My dad had a way to get tickets for the AFC championship game if KC managed to get past Denver. I didn't go to school for 4 days after that loss.

Sort of a "white flight" scenario. His forehead has turned into quite the prominent feature.

31 in a month and four days.

Man, thirty-one sounds old, but I don't feel any different than when I was 22! Heck, I don't look any older than that anyway ;)

06-02-2001, 11:02 AM
Just turned 29 on May 4th.

Its a very wierd time. Thought I'd be married with kids by now. Instead I'm single with no kids. I guess thats better than single w/kids.

Not looking forward to 30.

06-02-2001, 11:19 AM
I'll be 33 in November. But I've got a 14 year old...so I guess I'm really 47.

Started getting gray in my goatee last year...so now I don't have a goatee!!

My fiancee is 34, since I shaved everyone thinks she is a cradle robber :D

to you under 30 guys...when you hit 30, buy some new pants...My fiancee won't admit she is shrinking all of them...(they're doing it with my uniforms at work too)

06-02-2001, 03:58 PM
I'm 39 and will turn 40 in December.

I'm 30 and am in my sexual prime.

06-02-2001, 07:32 PM
BIG DADDY is 38 and I never though that I would get this old. Feel very young though. The body is a bit tougher to keep in top shape and I don't recover from injuries as good as I used to but I guess you can't ask for everything.

Especially the motorcyle crashes. I almost crushed myself today and was SOOOOO grateful that I held on.

06-02-2001, 07:43 PM
I'm currently 36, but I contend that immaturity should count and that would put me much younger.

06-02-2001, 09:27 PM
people born in June of '56 have the most "Class" :D

I will turn 45 exactly one week from today...thanks to having children late in life(first child came along at 36) I feel younger than ever. Have lost a few parts of the body along the way(nothing essential), lost most of the hair before 35, and realized that follically challenged people such as myself divert our hormones to other necessary funtions.

Just wanted to know Gaz...are you a member of the "Class of 74"?

Turned 28 in April, which just doesn't seem right because I'm sure I'm not that old yet.

Chiefpriority - People thought I looked 17 when I was 13, unfortunitly I looked the exact same at 23 when people thought I was 17... Had to grow a goat, and then people started guessing my age right.

I will be 30 in 8 days.

I looked like I was 15 up until about 4 years ago. But I've noticed the last few years that each time I get my hair cut (what's left), I notice more and more white hairs ... maybe if I don't cut it they'll go away.

And I wore the same jean size (28" waist, 34" inseam) from the time I was a freshman in high school until I got married (last year). The first number has got a bit larger in the last year or so. If my wife wasn't such a kick-a$$ cook ...

I'm 41, turn 42 in July. Class of 1977 (HS) or 1982 (CMSU), take your choice.

My wife and I just celebrated the 10th aniversary last Friday. Amazing to think I found this young lady in Texas who'd put up with this ol' Missouri Boy and the fact that I was a soldier at the time also. Believe it or not, she's even learned NOT to root for the Cowboys (well not too loudly :D ).

34 and prematurely gray. When I say gray, I mean 100% gray. I have a full head of hair, it's just a little lighter colored than most;)

I am fearing that my sons (3 and newborn) will start flipping me $hit about being their grandpa in a couple of years. That's the problem with being a smart-*** like me. Your off-spring pick up that trait like it's a second set of skin.:D

I will turn 45 in August, so count me in the class of 74!!! I have a wife who is 10 years younger than I, and 3 kids ages of 10, 7, and 3. I also work with high school kids all day long, so I feel much younger than I actually am!!!

06-04-2001, 02:10 PM
I'm 29, will be 30 in October. I think I'll go kill myself.....lol.
Seriously, I would love to be 8-10 years younger but ONLY if I could retain the knowledge and experience I have now. Overall, I'm happy, though even thought my body doesn't seem to recover quite as fast as it used to.;)

I can't speak for anyone else, but I wouldn't want to be young in today's society.

Loved growing up in the 70's...

06-06-2001, 09:53 PM
And what was so good about growing up in the '70's? Besides some classic rock tunes I don't see that it has a leg-up on the 90's, beings that the 90's also has its good music now which when I'm your age will be considered classic. Slipknot from right here in Iowa, Nelly, Chris Ledoux, all sorts of great artists from all different genres which I love.....a little iffy on the rap, but every one and a while there is a good tune. So, what advantages did ya'll have then?

06-06-2001, 09:56 PM
Only JOhn would have such an answer. And what is scary is that he is probably being honest.

Bellbottom cordoroys. Sex without fear. Earth shoes. No political correctness. No minivans! The list is huge. The music? We didn't need videos to rock, just KWKI and KY102. Oh and by the way, concert tickets for 10 bands for an all day show were a costly 15 bucks....

And my personal favorite, your friends didn't bring guns to school.

Rick Stephens
06-06-2001, 11:20 PM
My standard answer to this question is, older than I should be and as young as I want to be. Age is only a number and you are only as old as you feel you are.

I turned 56 last month. Unlike some of you, I don't feel much over 40. I think one reason I still feel young is that I gave up smoking.

big block engines-
-May not be factory, but I'm a small town boy and gives me a hobby not having them around, I get to do it myself, also makes good conversation piece, and when I take out the older bro's 1972 Chevelle Malibu convertible, the ladies keep on coming..

motors measured in cubic inches and not litres-
-Same deal, cubic inches is what I'm used to, don't buy new car, hate em.

No STD's that could kill-
-Well, If you ain't sleepin around with trashy hoes, which you have to be trash yourself to sleep with in the first place, your ok.

natural babes-
-At my age, in a small town, their all natural yet, and ain't nothin' wrong with a lil breat augmentation as long as the lady is happy and comfortable with her body and appearance.

rap? nah Motown-
-Motown...please, I didn't say I like rap, my least favorite genre, but there are a few songs here and there......

grunge? nah pure rock-
Grunge is technically dead, and in my eyes, died with the late great Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of Nirvana, the greatest grunge band ever to grace the planet, don't tell me you never liked any of Nirvana's songs...if you truly didn't, either you were a huge dork, scared of the new and different, or just plain wrong. I listen to classic rock, and southern rock of your days, and I have the rock of today along with the heavy metal scene to keep me content. And Country still has its time and place with me.

better movies-
-Don't like old movies, I'm a fan of Matrix, Gladiator, Dazed and Confused, Half Baked, Remember the Titans, Saving Private Ryan, the list goes on, its just that movies these days have better plots and technology and throw in great twists, of course we have flops that shouldn't be spoken of also...aka godzilla, twister, volcano, pretty much any natural disaster movie.

bigger backseats-
-Again, Camaro....kinda cramped, Chevelle...plenty-0-room, Bed of truck and basement on summer night...heaven. Why do I need a backseat, I live with my mom who works for the government and is gone 1-3 months at a time, ladies come on home with me.

fist fights, not gun fights-
In the small town of Manchester, Iowa, the fist is still the weapon of choice, guns are for the wannabe white-trash thugs, cuz we dont' have many blacks...maybe 3 right now.

exctasy? nah organic shrooms-
-Well, there are some heavy drugs passed around at the white-trash parties, but we country boys get the occasional guy bringing the acid, still popular, but mostly weed if its gonna be anything more than alcohol and cigs.

beer at 18-
-Who cares, I still get it, buyers know what its like to look for beer so they help us out, I always have enough for the weekend, plus it gives us a little adrenaline rush knowing we aren't supposed to do it and we could get caught any time so be ready.

great looking gals in tight Levi jeans-
The ladies are still looking great my way, hell, the jeans girls wear these days are pretty much bell-bottoms, tight on that a$$ and get a little bigger after the knee, they just call them flares now.

Stadium shows-
-Concerts you mean? Well, the best concerts I have ever been to have all been in tightly packed small venues such as Hairy Mary's in Des Moines, the old Super Toad in Des Moines and other in surrounding area. Large shows in big arena's aren't as good, as for the price of tickets, its still basically the same price, just changed with inflation, so did minimum wage so there goes that argument.

Chiefs win Super Bowl 1/11/70-
-Well, I think being the second winningest team of the 90's was good enough for me, the championship will come with time, and I know it will before my time is up.

06-07-2001, 12:29 AM
I hate to tell you little one, but ladies as myself have hit it and it's the PUPS like you that haven't...Nor do you/or will you understand it. But the point?
;) I'm way ahead of you and enjoying it to the max~:D

Bob Dole
06-07-2001, 02:40 AM

While Bob Dole appreciates an occasional spin of Spit It Out or Wait and Bleed (Hey, you've got to love a song with the line "My eyes are red and gold..."), it's a stretch to think that more than 20 people will ever consider Slipknot's stuff "classic." It's not like you find yourself humming their songs while you cook dinner or anything...

And it sounds to Bob Dole like you're admitting that 70's big blocks are better than anything available in the 90's. (And count yourself lucky if your brother has a '72 Malibu convertible with the Z15 package, since there were probably fewer than 100 produced.)

Bob Dole isn't sure what to make of your commentary regarding "breat augmentation." (But knows that if you ignore health implications, natural breats beat silicone breats and silicone breats beat saline breats and it seems that most of them you find in the 90's are saline.)

Bed of a truck? (Oh yeah...you're in Iowa.) Tell you what--Bob Dole will put the back seat of Bob Dole's parent's 1976 Mercury Marquis up against your pickup bed any day (especially if it's raining). Maybe we should put up a "ladies only" poll and find out.

Oh never mind... Anyone who thinks that having a winning record is "good enough" isn't going to pay attention to an old fart anyway. :D

you're back in the "I'm a party machine-man whore womanizer".....a while back when someone mentioned your pop's name, you did a 180..

which is it?

My 15 year old cousin is putting together a 66 cadillac....The seats ar HUGE.....I think its the pimpest ride a young man could hope for....

I drove a 79 thunderbird and 77 cutlas so seat room was never the problem.

bell bottoms...60's and 70's...

Cars.. what year Malibu?

Miusic...Classic rock? from what decade? And today's country is not country. It's pop. You want country? Merle, and George, and Willie. Any one who dogs motown is clueless.

Sounds to me like you were born two decades late.

Contrary to your information deadly STD's don't only come from trailer trash ho's or whatever you want to call them. Anyone can get them and spread them. Maybe that's the problem, too many kids think that if she's the prom queen she's clean or the high school quarterback, the school geek (they were nerds in my day). Abstinence is the only real way to protect yourself, and ya sound like such a stud I'm sure you buy your condoms by the case and only use them once and NEVER have unprotected sex.

Reached the halfway point of my life today..45

Just taking a minute from the activities that the family has planned for me today to cyber-celebrate my birthday with some of my cyber friends....

And what's really fun is i get the same treatment next week for Father's Day!!!!!!!

:D  :)

Here's to the 60's & 70's (especially my "Class of '74" compadres).....

BTW Aturnis, most of the attire worn by kids your age nowadays originated in the late 60's and early 70's, so there's nothing original about fashion these days...
