Trent Green just put a big hit while blocking on a busted play and is down on the field....I'd guess OUT.

he went down like a sack of potatoes. He wasn't moving.

He's being strapped to the board and taken off the field.

It doesn't look good.

I hope he's alright, but I'll bet his career is over today.

You knew it was gonna happen one day. Admire his heart but honestly a QB shouldn't be making big blocks. Just get in the way and fall down gracefully.

it was a fumbled reverse....the wr picked it up and changed directions....Green definitely sold his body out to make a block to break the play....and dropped.

I'd just flipped to the game for that snap.

I just saw a replay. It was a knee to the side of the head. Pretty ugly and, from what I understand, one of those strikes to the head that are the worst-a sudden sideways motion. I hope he's OK.

This sucks. I hate to see this happen to the guy. He was the best, most consistent QB the franchise had seen since Len Dawson. Team guy doing everything he can do to help the team win. He goes 5 years without missing a start and now 2 severe head injuries in 2 seasons.

It looks like the end of the line for Trent. I feel bad for him. If Vermiel had any idea how to field anything better than a dead last defense, Trent's probably wearing a superbowl ring right now.

Now it looks like his chances at a ring are gone.

He took a pretty good shot to the melon. Trent may want to think about hanging it up. My guess is that this was his last game.

Update:
He went to the hospital and was checked out, then headed back to the stadium to shower and fly home with the team.

Definitely not the severity of last year's hit, but we all know the story on multiple concussions.
