OK, who would have believed the pathetic imploding Raiders with Greasy Al would be in first in week 5 by HAVING A BYE WEEK???

They may be the only AFCW team with some semblance of an identity. The Bolts get smacked around in their own stadium and then roll into Denver and crush the Invescos 41-3. Denver has no identity, either. We are totally in a funk.

Danan Hughes from Metro Sports says that a 7-8 team will still be competing for the AFCW title in week 17.

The good news: the division is very much up-for-grabs.

The bad news: the Raiders may be the best team in the AFCW.

It will be an all out battle to 8-8 and getting embarrassed in the first round... Go AFCW....

Well, its all about when you peak. One of these 4 teams might catch on fire in December. Its a long season. Its even longer when you have 3 PB RBs and cannot even gain 11 yards in a home game.

After being completely dominated yesterday, we still stand in the same spot. Before yesterday, we were tied for first (but second because of tiebreakers). Now, we stand in second....because of tiebreakers.

Crazy.

So if the West keeps sucking it up, we have the potential to make the playoffs and make a top 15 draft pick!

Oh, that pleases the Planeteers who foam at the mouth about tanking entire seasons for a draft pick.

The AFCW is still up for grabs and if we can get even a little improvement in OL play, we are still in the hunt. Plus, we are already 1-0 against the AFCW and have already beat our toughest road foe in the division. A win at Oak or Denver and successfully defending Arrowhead against divisional opponents could put us in a great spot to win the AFCW.
