View Full Version : Will we coddle Brodie?

Seems like with a young quarterback, the coaching staff will have the perfect excuse to go back to full-on, all-out buttsex warfare. We'll come out with two tight ends and a fullback and start running on first down 80 percent of the time.

Or will we let Air Brodie fly? I'll honestly be shocked if we throw it 30 times against the Bengals. I'm thinking AT MOST he throws 20 passes.

I think they will try running early, fall behind 10-0 then throw almost every down. Seems to be the pattern. It makes no difference if its Huard or Croyle. Atleast the Croyle factor will make it interesting to watch.

Coddling Croyle would be the worst thing to do -- it guarantees a lot of third and longs.

Does Solari and Herm understand offense enough to be able to coddle anyone?

And hey, Dick Curl says he has all the tools, so what's the worry?

Probably will take it slow at first... but theoretically, we should be able to open it up a bit because Croyle can make throws Huard could never make.

Wouldn't running the same offense be considered coddling?
