How sad is the rookie crop when a 4-catch, 40 yard day makes the rookie of the week list?

Don't get me wrong, I think Bowe is terrific and one of the biggest reasons Gonzo is enjoying a resurgance, but jeez.

Bowe won us this game Sunday. If not for Bowe, would this offense have moved the ball downfield that well? I think not. If not for Bowe, would defenses have to change their strategy? I think not. Bowe opened up the passing game. TG owes his touchdowns to Bowe. Bowe opened up the running game. LJ owes his 100 yards to Bowe. Bowe is an inspiration to the defense. Jared Allen owes his sacks to Bowe.

Bowe has once again dominated the NFL. He has forever changed the Kansas City Chiefs. He has forever changed football as we know it.

Peterson did fine, I have to give him credit, but it was no Bowe.

It's only one week (where a guy busted for 2 million yards and 3 TDs). Other weeks have been much more impressive in terms of overall performance.

And if you could factor in the excellent play of Joe Thomas, among others who don't get the statistical recognition, it's not bad at all.
