Dude! You missed Men in Black! He just went home. I bet he comes back once or twice a year to collect.

Is the Forbes thing kind of like a "Dead Poets Society"?

Dead Celebrities Society?

What next?

She's 18.532435 now. Honestly, I have no idea what her age is in that picture.

I've never figured out the royalty system. Beethoven's descendants don't get paid every time the 9th Symphony is played, so why do Elvis' descendants get paid every time Jail House Rock is played? I know there's some timeline when songs (and I think books) enter the public domain, but how long is it?

Different here and and Europe...

Both places keep extending it.

In the US it's 95 years from publication date.
Europe is 70 I think.

It seems like it should be until the artist's death, or maybe 18 years beyond it if they off themselves with a new kid.

Maybe that gets complicated with a group, though.

Basically in the US copyright is functionally infinite. So long as Disney exists as a company there will be no end to copyright(you notice they extend it every time mickey looks about to become public domain.......)
