View Full Version : Wierd: Fox News buying TV ads on Hardball
Fox News just ran a Brit Hume/FNC ad during Hardball. It was certainly an ad run during the allcoation of local ad space owned by Cox Cable. And it was an odd joint ad where they spent 26 seconds trumping FNC and Brit... and the last 4 or so seconds was a commerical within a commercial.
"(Brit and FNC) are brought to you by (random local business)."
Anyone ever seen anything like this? Or is this a new advertising approach?

I saw the same thing on FoxNews last week & it was MSNBC advertising. I could hardly believe it and it was during the o'reilly hatefest hour - very wierd. Must be some kind of ad-competitor in-fighting going on

Thanks, KC Dan. The "Bill O' Really?" show as the extended version of Orwell's "Two Minute Hate"? Good call.
And yeah, it's a weird phenomenon. You're probably correct in that it's squabbling sponsors.
