This is awesome! Now the mainstream candidates are lining up to copy our efforts.
For Fred Thompson, they are targeting November 21st:
National Day of Fred Giving (http://www.blogsforfredthompson.com/national-day-fred-giving-november-21-2007)
They're saying that since Ron Paul lacks support, and he raised $4 million dollars, surely they can blow this figure away.
Moneybags Mitt has done the same:
December 7th for Mitt (http://www.december7thformitt.com/)
Only instead of their supporters digging deep for a $100 spot, they're asking for $30 bucks. They've also taken an interesting copy-cat strategy. A lot of Ron Paul supporters took to selling stuff they had laying around the house on ebay and using the proceeds for donating to Ron Paul. This week, Mitt sent an email to his supporters begging them to do the same though their MittMarket (http://www.mittromney.com/MittMarket).
Makes me wonder why anybody would be motivated to donate to Mitt's campaign, when you know that all you're really doing is just putting the money he loaned himself back into his pocket.
And even better! They picked December freaking 7th! Ahahahahaha! What a bunch of morons! "Let's bomb again on the 7th! Pearl Harbor and Mitt Romney." They just picked a date out of a hat with absolutely no meaning whatsoever that can be tied into the campaign.
Then of course, we have Huckabee's sad attempt:
November 20th for the Children (http://nov20forthechildren.com/)
I love it! At least they picked a date for a reason but "for the children? Who put this together? A bunch of Democrats? Since when are conservatives motivated by pleas "for the children?" Typically, they see this as a ploy. What's conservative about this guy again? As far as I can tell, it's just that he was a minister, which isn't necessarily conservative.
Follow the leader baby!
