What does it ****ing matter? They are horrible on defense and we're at home. We'll score at LEAST 20.

Damon Huard's career is over.

It is a good day.

No one can ever argue again that Huard is a good QB.

Case Closed.

Too bad we wasted the season for a handful of True Fans.

And we have the tie breaker on San Diego, once they lose tonight.

Assuming San Diego loses to Indy, it would be a three way tie. I believe Denver would be in first because they would have the best conference record.

nope, it's division or head to head.

All three teams have the same division record. And you can't use head-to-head in a three way tie.

So if the Chargers win they are in first place, and if they lose its a legit 3-way tie?

No need to deflect because I know the raiders suck but that doesn't change the fact that KC has lost two at narrowhead including one to the terrible Donk D.

TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION

If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.

Three or More Clubs

(Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated during any step, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of the two-club format).

1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games among the clubs). Tie.

2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division. Tie

3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games. tie at 1-1 (GB and OAK are the common games)

4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference. Tie

5. Strength of victory. Denver wins with 18-18 opponent record. SD is at 14-22 and KC is at 12-24. (I am assuming an Oakland loss)
6. Strength of schedule.

7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.

8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.

9. Best net points in common games.

10. Best net points in all games.

11. Best net touchdowns in all games.

banyon

course that tiebreaker won't matter by the end of the season, but it's kind of funny we have such similar records that you have to go to the 5th tiebreaker.

I know it's officially called strength of victory, but we may have to invent a new term.

Yeah but this is going to change because Denver still has to play Minnesota and Chicago (among others, same for KC, SD). I doubt it will go past common opponents if we happen to have a 3 way tie at the end of the season.

That won't change anything. This isn't like College basketball RPI, it is based on who you beat. We lost to those teams, so it's not a part of our strength of victory.

If it goes to tiebreaker #6, then that would matter.

All Im trying to say is that its not likely that if we are all tied at the end of the season that we all will have the same record against common opponents.

Technically, if the season ended today (and You guys lose to the Colts) then they are ahead.
