In all honesty how long do you think a top tier QB would last with our OL?

Garcia can still scramble

They would fall apart, they would be so used to time and would get extreamly frustrated. They would try to make plays, would happen sometime, but a lot would turn into INT's. I think its better for a QB to start our behind a semi bad line to start with, it will make them so much stronger for the future if/when they get a good line.

Under constant pressure you guys think it would be ok? I'm not sure. Not defending anyone here. I'm full on wanting Croyle to start but was just wondering.

Some guys can actually read defenses, anticipate pressure, and get the ball out when necessary. Some guys can roll out, too. In fact, some guys can move in the pocket and stay alive long enough to throw the ball away and, sometimes, they even throw a completion. I'm going to say 16 games.

I agree but when was the last time we had a QB like that?

I would say if you plugged Peyton Manning in the spot it wouldn't be good. Brady maybe Manning not so much.

And that got us how many points? My point is without better QB protection we are doomed.

Granted Brodie doesn't look like a deer in head lights like Damon but still the pressure is still a problem.

You think Manning had a good team in 1998?

I put that blame more on playcalling than the line.

3rd and 6 at the 26, quick out to Bowe!!! :banghead:

I'm so sick of that ****ing play. Every time I see that throw I'm expecting a pick-6. I can't believe it hasn't happened yet.

You may be right but between Herm and Solari do you think that is gonna happen? Don't get me wrong I think the world of Brodie but if he doesn't get the protection we are f**kin screwed.

Your question is "would they last?", not "would they excel"?

Everyone knows there is more to a team than just the QB. Look at the Packers the last couple of years for that, or this year's Bengals.

So what your saying is we can take the QB out of the mix and win? I'm lost. If the QB is constantly under pressure how does offense excel? The line cant seem to block for our RB? Explain it to me.

Some QB's have a quicker release, some elude pressure, some make quick Decisions. Some have a strong arm and the Defense has to cover downfield more.

Huard had none of those things. Croyle may have some of them. At least now we get a chance to find out.

a real QB can. the difference with Croyle was obvious even without sound

I agree. Now if we can get the damn OL to give a qb a chance we will have a chance. Im just not use to the kc line being this damn bad.

The two best QB's in the league (Brady and Manning) can't scramble so neither one would last more than 4 games behind your line.
