Dear God... I didn't realize how bad it was, but someone posted this. I can't verify all fo them, but a few I can (Boller for Wilson and Wilfork, for one).




2001: Baltimore takes Kyle Boller. New England take Eugene Wilson and Vince Wilfork

2002: Green Bay acquires Terry Glenn. New England drafts Jarvis Green and Asante Samuel (!!). Glenn leaves GB after one season.

2003: New Orleans acquires Tebucky Jones for three picks. The Pats draft Dan Klecko, Tully Banta-Cain and Dexter Reid. Tebucky bolts NO for Miami after two seasons, and eventually re-signs with NE.

2003: Miami drafts OT Wade Smith (3rd). New England converts the pick into Corey Dillon.

2007: Maimi draft OC Samson Satele (2nd) and DE Arbaham Wright (7th). New England lands Wes Welker.

2007: San Francisco drafts OT Joe Staley (1st). New England gets the SF 1st(2008) plus Randy Moss.

Excellent ownage of desperate teams. Someday I hope we have a FO who can play the patience game and let everyone else give up picks on draft day, then execute the pick properly (e.g. fat samoan slobs unacceptable).

Imagine if they were to get someone like McFadden? It's game over next year folks.

Ravens weren't desperate. Just came off a SB win a year earlier. They just mis-judged Boller's potential.

Some of those Dolphins teams were REALLY good during those years, but they kept trading away the future to try to get over the top. I saw a post by a fins fan about their 1st round picks from, something like 1999 to 2007. It was jaw-droppingly horrendous. Half of those years they didn't even HAVE a first round pick, having traded it away.

The Dolphins are god-awful, and it's not clear when/how they'll get better. They may have the least talent in the NFL.

I don't watch any college ball. Have no idea who McFadden is. But I can say that that is exactly who the Pats fan boards are drooling over.

Myself -- I predict we trade down with the pick to the middle/late 1st round, and pick up a high pick next year (a 1 or a 2).

That fits more with SP/BB's track record anyway. If they love a player, though, I'm sure they'll take him.

Oy. That would, umm, not suck. Maroney is good, WHEN he's on the field.

I won't bother to look him up, but I will say that a flyweight like Reggie Bush wouldn't exactly fit the Patritos Motif. Then again, I **specifically** remember some moron reporter after the draft questioning Belichick and Belichick slapped him down pretty good with "I think we could find a spot for him somewhere" if we'd had the chance to take him.

If there is a true superstar Safety, we might go that route instead, however. RBs can be easily replaced, and we already have a decent one. Might not be worth the investment for our club, anyway.

Hell, who cares. Unless we take a bust (rare for high picks for BB/SP), then it's a huge victory regardless... :)

where as our Front Office can't figure it out, as evidence of our last 10 years drafting.

hehe, good reference. only thing about that movie that i dont like....is that very VERY last scene (which is jsut a flash of a picture) is him in bed with his wife with the tattoo's....so its impossible to tell what REALLY happened.

regardless good movie though
