Injury Report Update on Larry Johnson
Nov 13, 2007, 11:49:57 AM

The swelling continues to decrease in Larry Johnsonís injured right foot. He is continuing to receive rehab treatments twice a day.

On Sundayís game against the Denver Broncos, he was on the sidelines without crutches with his team before the game.

Johnsonís condition will continue to be evaluated each week with an appointment to see a foot specialist next week Monday, November 19th. His playing status for this Sundayís game in Indianapolis has been determined as out.

The whole point of this press release:
"he was on the sidelines without crutches with his team before the game."

Maybe LJ should use some of his show biz contacts and see if he can borrow Michael Jackson's hyperbaric chamber for a couple of weeks.

Well this obviously points to a short term injury.

Everyone knew he would get his money and then quit like he has so many times.

Carl should have made him play for his original contract.

Here is my thoughts on the LJ injury and why they havent IR him aldready. Its not about ticket sales or trying to keep other teams guessing (gameplanning for LJ).

It has to do with Jason Dunn. CP (and almost everyone else) thought the chiefs would not make the playoffs last yr, and he IR Dunn, and brought up alot of other players to evaluate. That was a mistake, because we could have used him against Indy (though we probably still would have lost).

LJ probably wont play another regular season game. That is even more true if we are eliminated from the playoffs because it wouldnt be worth the risk of re-injury regardless if he is IR or not. CP wont make the same mistake again and IR LJ unless we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. If by some miracle we make it in again, we could really use LJ (and hopefully the chip on his shoulder).

Well, assuming your theory is correct, Mr. findthedr, allow me to posit an interrogatory for your consideration. Do you allow LJ to play in the playoffs if he wasn't the guy who got you there? I mean, if we make it to the playoffs at this point it will be due, in large measure, to Priest. Do you bench Priest?

Depends if Priest REALLY got you there.

If findthedr's theory is correct, I think the Chiefs will activate LJ for Week 16 or 17.

I have bizarre conspiracy theory where Priest Holmes paid AJ Hawk to take out LJ. I know it's silly, but every time I think about it I just see LJ on the ground holding his ankle crying "WHYYY!?!?! WHYYY?!? WHYYYYYY!?!?"

Priest looked decent..cuts were smooth..speed ok..following the blocking good..just needs better blocking down-field ......
