I was a little distracted, but I think I heard him say that Noswanger (sp?) was going to play more, Mr. Hog Farmer. If I heard it correctly, they want to know if he can play guard consistently.

When asked about switching back to Downfield if Brodie struggles, he said that Brodie had the 7 games to prove himself. Seemed willing to tolerate INTs and let the defense deal with that issue.

Said again that the offense "has not changed" other than simplifying things for the young receivers so they'll know where to line up.

Webb did OK back there last year, so at least he has experience tracking the ball. If it was Sippio, at least you know he wouldn't be ankle tackled like Drummond seems to be (when he isn't running out of bounds).

I'm sure this isn't news, but my guess is that Drummond was another symptom of Herm's Fumblephobia, Mr. Laz. He probably believed that the more experienced player would result in fewer turnovers. I'm surprised about how bad Drummond is, though. Several Planeteers have mentioned that there have been times when he had a seam with blocking and took another route to the 18. Let's tie him to a tree and shoot dung balls at his eyes.

To me, Phinisee (sp?) came across as an enthusiastic, gritty football player on Hard Knockers.

Herm needs to say, "What the hell" and get him back and put Sippio in the rotation. I think it's fair to say that Herm's having some difficulty evaluating the team in practice or he would have known Drummond wasn't going to get the job done. I think the same thing can be said about Sippio.

Herm's flustrated. You can hear it in his voice.

That's the way I saw it too, Mr. HemiEd. This is the kind of thing that really bugs me about Herm. He's inconsistent. One day, it's all about "competition" at every position and being "fair to the player". The next day, he's handing a job to a guy without so much as a how de do. Or a ho de ho ho.

Steve Bono (definitely not younger)

Elvis Grbac (definitely not younger)

I heard that as well, Mr. MaxFects, but I wasn't sure if it meant anything in respect to LJ. I was interested in his repeated comments that Priest would not get 30 carries a game ... that it wasn't "fair" to Priest. We'd better be praying that Kolby has something to offer.

It's a daunting challenge to be sure, Mr. Skip Towne, but you never know until you try. Frankly, I have some awesome thread ideas saved back. I have this one on the subject of midget astronaut nose hair density that's a sure winner and another one that's a poll about windex and lady wrestlers. I'm feeling pretty confident.

EDIT: Full transcript with paragraph breaks and everything at post number 92 courtesy of the new, fabulous poster Mr. findthedr.

That's great news. On Madden 2008, Jeff Webb is the Chiefs return man and he rocks!
