View Full Version : If things stay pat Kansas will be number 2 in the BCS championship

That's not a good thing either. That number has been poison to a lot of teams this year. Pull for Ole Miss this weekend, they've played LSU tough for the last 5 years according to ESPN. Wouldn't it be something if KU and MU won, and LSU and OU lost? It could happen.

I hope Oklahoma leap frogs us. #2 is bad luck

That would be cool, but I'd take #1 too.

Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe #2 teams only lose to unranked teams. KU will still be #3 when they play the only unranked team left of the schedule. Then, it's Mizzou and Oklahoma, both of whom cannot be considered "trap" opponents. The players will be ready.

I'm not worried about the #2 Curse.

You shouldn't be. You should definately be worried about MU and OU though. You beat MU you get OU. Kansas hasn't played anyone remotely close to that talented this year. They're good, but HOW good are they? No one really knows. They belong though, that should be enough for now.

MU will be their first real test of a great team.. But the Kansas offense is just pretty to watch(and can be scary when they are firing on all cylinders).. As long as no one gets hurt it will be a shootout..

I agree. I'm a fan of both teams. I didn't grow up there with that rivalry, but I was born there, so I like seeing them do well. It's good to see KU relevant in football, it's unusual. I hope it lasts.

I don't think they can beat MU this year. Or OU for that matter. It's good to see them taking steps in those directions though. Maybe they'll shock me. It'll be a ton of fun to watch.

I prefer MU so I'll be rooting for them. If KU wins, I'll hope they whoop OU. If OU wins, I'll be rooting for whoever is playing them.

Well, Jayhawks just need to win this week against ISU. I am scared for that game. I predict we start slow (as always, but moreso this time) and then the crowd will get into it and elevate play.

I predict we dominate. Not quite to the extent of Nebraska, but it will be a good win.

I'm not. Get ready for a blow out. Whatever the spread is, Kansas will cover as usual. I'm thinking 55 to 21.

Whatever happens over the course of the next 4 games....ISU, MU, OU, Bowl......it's been a GREAT year for the Jayhawks. I just hope that they build on this success and form a solid team every year.....

Here are the scores of ISU's last four games:

vs OU: L 17-7
vs MU: L 28-42
vs K-State: W 31-20
vs CU: W 31-28

ISU has turned into a tough team.

No doubt that they have turned the corner since early this season. They are playing very well lately. KU coaches and players would be fools to be looking ahead to MU. That being said, 3 of those games were home games for the Cyclones. Even if KU is a little flat, the home crowd at Memorial Stadium in Lawrence should help KU.

All I am predicting is that KU will not cover the spread. I think the spread is 26.5 points now. I think KU will definitely win.

Three wins. They have one against Iowa, and the other two are against teams KU barely beat.
