If Carl gets fired I think we need to have an official Chiefs planet tailgate blowout (ding dong the witch is dead) the first home game after he's fired.

I hereby pledge the purchase of a 16 gallon keg for the party.

I think it is down to Todd Reesing or Chase Daniel. Tim Tebow has the stats, but his team isn't good enough.

Well, since I have to fly up there.....

This may sound crazy...
But Marty would make a good player personnel GM.
Let Carl keep buying the nachos and overseeing the stadium renovations.
If you can't live with the Herm-meister (who I think is a Marty clone)
Give Bill Cohwer ten million bucks and a weekend with Kellie Croyle to come out of retirement.

That's what I'd do if I ran the Zoo.

Unfortunatley it will be one of King Carl's minions that will take the reins of GM from King Carl.

Final nail in the coffin for the chiefs franchise...

:Lin:

Why do we need another post season failure running the show. Lets clean house and finally move forward... No need to keep living in the past.

I think Mary would be pretty sweet. He brought a lot of good players to SD, and they did great under him. It will probably be someone like Thum though.

I would have traded Ryan Sims for Mangino. At least Mangino is motivated.

Marty's conservative GMing of playoff games will ruin us!

Marty knows how to build a team, and the coaches he surrounded himself with is a testiment to that.

Carl isn't going anywhere at the end of this year. He and Herm have 3 built in excuses:

1. DV left an old and injured team.
2. Solari.
3. A young QB.

"I think the Chiefs organization is very blessed to have someone of (Carl Peterson's) capability, both in business and the football side. It is a huge asset to me, being new to my role, to have someone as capable as he is, running the team," said Clark Hunt.

I think if they make a change, it will be a complete change. Not that I think they'll make a change at all.

If Carl is fired, I will drive out to Arrowhead in an empty parking lot and tailgate all by myself, if I have to. That day will be glorious.

Those are Herms excuses, Carl doesn't have any. The new GM will give Herm a shot, or Clark wont hire them.

Carl's never going to be "fired". Clark wouldn't embarrass him after Carl worked nearly 20 years for his dad. He'd ask Carl to announce his retirement a few years early, or announce that he's resigning as GM but keeping his job as President, or whatever face-saving scenario you could come up with.

That is completely retarded. It's the GM's job to hire the coach. Why fire the GM if the coaching and everything else stays the same?

Because the coach is doing a good job, the GM isn't. The new GM would be able to fire Herm, but Clark wants Herm to stick around because he likes where the Chiefs are heading with him.

How is Carl at fault and Herm not at fault?

RustShack

This is Herm's 2nd year here, how long has Carl been here? Herm took over an old old offense with an extremely weak defense. I think your misunderstanding that when there is a new GM, he CAN get his own coach, but Clark would rather him give Herm a chance. Clark likes where the team is going with Herm, he doesn't like where it is going with Carl. Just like when Herm put together his coaching staff, they wanted him to interview Gunther and give him a chance, he COULD have found someone else, but he gave Gunther a chance. Gunther wanted Herm to give Gibbs a chance as the DB's coach, Herm could have easily found someone else, but interviewed Gibbs and gave him a shot. IT IS THE SAME THING!
