Yeah, but Mecca is the expert on teams halfway across the nation. I'm sure he manages to fit in watching every SEC, Pac 10, ACC, and Big East game every week.

Why the hell are we stupid homers watching locally broadcasted games instead of checking out teams a thousand miles away.

Oh, we're actually fans of the programs we talk about. I'm sure he's the biggest USC fan you'll meet. As long as they're winning national championships and he can pile on every other team in the nation that is.

Woodson is not fast how can he remotely play WR or DB? It would be like asking Matt Ryan to do that...

Steve Largent.....Fred Bilitnekoff.....both great receivers that weren't fast....I said 3rd down receiver....guys who know how to go to the 1st down marker and catch the ball and take a hit.

As for DB......Deron Cherry was never fast and he was All Pro.

This is the first time KU/MU and Big 12 fans have had something this big to look forward to and none of us want an "outside prospective" from someone that resides in the heart of Big 12 Country. If you lived out in Cali, you could be a Raiders fans and trash the Chiefs on their board like you do on here, and your USC fanhood would be justified.

Everybody likes a winner, but most of us on here are true fans and we've had to suffer through a whole bunch of losers to get here. KU has been godawful forever and MU hasn't been much better. Sometimes your reality is appreciated, and I can acknowledge that the SEC and Pac 10 are better conferences, but I don't give a shit. I've had enough SEC and Pac 10 games jammed down my throat this year to watch them and realize college football has attained a level of parity.

Seriously, I watched LSU hang around with a bad Ole Miss team in the first half and blow them out in the second. Then I watched MU play an average-bad K-State team and do the same. Then I watched KU play a bad ISU team and dominate them in all phases of the game. I didn't watch LSU and say, good god, they're amazing. They played average against a bad team and got their shit together in the second half.

I've never said that. I'm saying you can't deny the fact that KU and MU both have talent on both sides of the ball, and could compete with any team in the nation. It's hard to attain their records, regardless of who you play. Any given saturday, teams have bad games, make stupid mistakes, go on the road, etc. and lose. KU and MU have minimized all of the above and won. The either stay in games or totally control them. The Big 12 gets no respect, and that's probably because OU is the only consistent power we've ever had, besides NU in the 90's, but the SEC and Pac 10 this year are far from impressive.

I have watched (IN PERSON) Woodson all season....at the first of the year he played well. But in the LSU game his weaknesses were exposed. And teams have exploited that to contain his effectiveness.

Scott Wright's Top 32 Senior Prospects for the 2008 NFL Draft
Player Class Position School
1. Glenn Dorsey SR DT L.S.U.
Might have given Amobi Okoye a run to be the first DT chosen in 2007.
2. Jake Long SR OT Michigan
Left tackle who is not quite Joe Thomas but is better than Levi Brown.
3. Chris Long SR DE Virginia
Howie's son has developed into an excellent prospect in his own right.
4. Matt Ryan SR QB Boston College
Off the charts intangibles and physical tools are more than adequate.
5. Sedrick Ellis SR DT USC
3-technique who could be a better prospect than Mike Patterson was.
6. Brian Brohm SR QB Louisville
Has the physical tools and the stats but is he a product of the system?
7. Andre' Woodson SR QB Kentucky
Has everything you look for and could be the first quarterback chosen.
8. Keith Rivers SR OLB USC
Undersized but very athletic and he even wears #55 for the Trojans.
9. Dan Connor SR OLB Penn St.
Some feel he may be a better pro prospect than Paul Posluszny was.
10. Limas Sweed SR WR Texas
Great size and a big play specialist but timed speed's a question mark.
11. Sam Baker SR OT USC
An athletic left tackle who's the son of AFL Commissioner David Baker.
12. Mike Jenkins SR CB South Florida
Prospects like this are why the Bulls program is now a national power.
13. Gosder Cherilus SR OT Boston College
One of the better BC offensive line prospects to come down the pipe.
14. Quentin Groves SR DE Auburn
A 'tweener but he will get after the quarterback as either a DE or OLB.
15. Frank Okam SR DT Texas
Next top Longhorn defensive lineman with terrific size and athleticism.
16. John Carlson SR TE Notre Dame
Excellent athlete who is a better prospect than Anthony Fasano was.
17. Chad Henne SR QB Michigan
The next great Wolverine QB this guy is battle tested and productive.
18. Adarius Bowman SR WR Oklahoma St.
A productive playmaker who will move up draft boards if he runs well.
19. Tommy Blake SR DE T.C.U.
Undersized but he certainly knows how to get after that quarterback.
20. Tony Hills SR OT Texas
A really interesting prospect with the physical tools to move way up.
21. Ali Highsmith SR OLB L.S.U.
Undersized but carries a high grade due to top speed and athleticism.
22. Lawrence Jackson SR DE USC
Is not a pure speed or edge rusher but he sure has been productive.
23. Early Doucet SR WR L.S.U.
He will finally get his chance to shine with Bowe and Davis in the pros.
24. Chris Williams SR OT Vanderbilt
Great athlete and potential left tackle who is still coming into his own.
25. Shawn Crable SR OLB Michigan
Still raw but a great athlete and may be a perfect fit for a 3-4 scheme.
26. Antoine Cason SR CB Arizona
Just average speed but has been a productive ballhawk & playmaker.
27. Zach Bowman SR CB Nebraska
Top 10 talent whose stock is muddied by injuries and durability issues.
28. Jeff Otah SR OT Pittsburgh
Very raw but has rare size and hasn't begun to reach his full potential.
29. Colt Brennan SR QB Hawaii
Super productive but a boom or bust type with many question marks.
30. John David Booty SR QB USC
Doesn't really stand out in any one area but he does everything well.
31. Harry Douglas SR WR Louisville
Lacks ideal size and bulk but is fast and plays a lot bigger than he is.
32. Mike Hart SR RB Michigan
Terrific college player with top intangibles but is not overly big or fast.

You can always take it up with Mike Wilbon of the Washington Post, Mark Schlabach of ESPN, Tom Dienhart of The Sporting News, Pete Fiutak of CollegeFootballNews.com, and any of other other numerous writers who've penned that the Big XII is better than at least one of those two conferences this year. Your teams are great. Unexpectedly great. They're both playing at a level you would never have imagined. If I had told you before the season started that for $100 I could ensure they would be 11-0 and 10-1 heading into this game, but your team would lose and head to a great bowl game where they could whack some POS coastal team you'd have paid me in a heartbeat.

Now here you stand, on the verge of that very thing being your worst case scenario, and you're bickering like a bunch of f**king schoolgirls.

Good, they won't even compete with LSU.

Since we're talking hypothetical:

KSU played Auburn very close at Auburn. KU and MU beat KSU. It took LSU a last second play to pull out that win against Auburn. And that game was a home game for LSU. Now I know that score comparisons like this don't always mean much, but this is all we have to compare. I just don't know how you come up with you ridiculous arguments. We won't even go into the point differential between what KU did to Nebraska and when USC played the Huskers.

This argument I just posted is silly, yes. But it is no more ridiculous than your better conference arguments. It's all subjective.

We won't even go into the point differential between what KU did to Nebraska and when USC played the Huskers.

This argument I just posted is silly, yes. But it is no more ridiculous than your better conference arguments. It's all subjective.

LSU beat Miss St 45-0 and two weeks later Miss St went on the road to beat Auburn. What KSU and Miss St did says more about Auburn then LSU. Auburn plays up (LSU, Florida) and down (KSU, Miss St, USF) to its competition.
