Quarterback Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts shook off their two-game losing streak to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs, 24-16, at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. After the Chiefs got on the scoreboard first with a 47-yard Dave Rayner field goal, Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri bounced back after last week's game-ending miss to tie the game with a 35-yard field goal. Colts running back Joseph Addai took over in the second quarter, scoring on a 14-yard touchdown run and a 1-yard swing pass from Peyton Manning to put the Colts up 17-3.

Making his first NFL start, Chiefs quarterback Brodie Croyle took advantage of a banged up Colts defense in the second half. With defensive end Dwight Freeney out for the season, Croyle and running back Priest Holmes marched down the field on scoring drives of 59, 65, and 54 yards respectively. With the Colts leading 17-16 late in the fourth quarter, Indianapolis' special teams set up the offense for the score that would put the game out of reach. After a quick three-and-out by the Chiefs' offense, the Colts' David Sanders broke through the line to block Chiefs punter Dustin Colquitt's punt, giving Indianapolis excellent field position. Manning capitalized three plays later, finding wide receiver Reggie Wayne alone in the corner of the end zone for the game-clinching 9-yard touchdown score.

People doubt Maddenalysis but its deadly accurate.

This is exactly how I figured the game would go.

My Maddenalysis had the Chiefs losing a close one 30-21. My actual Madden 2008 game, I beat the Colts 34-21, which I realize has more to do with my GameCube skills than the actual NFL, but nonetheless, Madden is a good predictor of how the actual games will be played.

This is a team Herm's Jets once crushed 41-0 in the post season, so I wouldn't throw in the towel a priori as mnay Planeteers already have.

If Priest really can grind out 81 yards as this Maddenalysis forecasts, this is a game, people.

I played Indy twice on Madden 2008 last night.

Game 1 Medlock missed a 17 FG and Indy won the toss and beat me in OT 17-14.

Game 2 I unleashed the Brodie Man and (don't laugh) the Chiefs pounded Indy 50-14. Priest ran for 135 yards and Manning was picked (don't laugh again) 6 times.

Go Chiefs!
