View Full Version : Dick Curl OC in 2008

Since Dick Curl has a lot of power and say so in this team, (Herms right hand lacky, Asst HC), do you think he would make a good OC for the chiefs next season. All offensive plays go through Dick Curls before they are sent on.. (Yes I know he is the QB coach as well).

One constant is that Herm and Dick Curl have been on the same staff since 2003 with Curls having some retarded positions as well. We are watching the same pathetic offense the Jets ran before Herm came here, Solari has lasted 2 years, which is about right for Herm.

so what you think? Could he actually improve this offense?

Just saying...

I feel he can over ride any play coming down and has a hermified approach about him..

Herm and Curls together have not produced a quality NFL offense...

Why do you think we checkdown so much? Why do you think our QB play is sub par? Curl needs to go just as much as Solari if not more.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is given the OC job once Solari is fired.

I knew this was gonna happen one way or another when Herman was hired.

That is sad, but I have a funny feeling that this is true...

Dick Curls will be the OC in 2008...

He is a bigger problem than people want to realize.. They pile on Solari, when Curls is running some if not most of the show.

You aren't the ASST HC without more power than either Coordinators.

Based on Curled Dick Face's resume, he is barely qualified to be on an NFL coaching staff, let alone be the Assistant Head Coach of an NFL team.

I would be happier if we brought back in GRob and switched him to offense than if Curl was made the OC.

Has any successful coordinator under Herm, or coach for that matter, ever gone on to get promoted and work for another team? There's not much to the Herm Edwards coaching tree. Wonder why? :hmmm:

Dick Curl would be a step down from Solari. He wouldn't even be in the NFL if it wasn't for Herm. He needs to STFA from Brodie. The REAL question should be who should Herm hire as QB coach for next year? Here's a hint Herm - it ought to be someone who is a known NFL QB coach, not an appointed one, someone like - oh, I don't know - Terry Shay maybe. He wasn't missed this year at all - was he? :shake:

Green should be ritiring after this year. I thought Deberg would be a really good QB coach.

Come to think of it I can't come up with a former starting NFL QB who is a QB coach. Jason Garrett would be the closest thing I guess...

That is the point I am getting to... Everyone is piling on Solari when you just identified the problem...

Solari has about as much say so on what plays to call as you or I do...

He is the OC in name only and a maryter for this offense!

Terry Shea? ROFL ROFL

He did a bang up job with Trent Green, Cleo Lemon & John Beck so far. And an incredible job in Chicago.

Face it: The credit for Trent Green in KC should go to Vermeil & Saunders - not Shea.

As a matter of fact, Green had his best statistical year in 2004 - when Jason Verduzco was the QB coach.

He did do an oustanding job with Trent in KC, and with Damon Huard last year. You're showing pure ignorance to think otherwise. Plus, he was an OC in Chicago not a QB coach. Nobody could do anything in Miami b/c in case you haven't noticed they're the worst team in the league. But why don't you give the guy until the end of the season and see how Beck does. He hasn't done that bad with what he has to work with.

Face it: Terry Shay is/was/and always will be a better QB coach than anything currently on the Chiefs staff. That is and was my main point.

You want something to laugh about - just look at the current situation.
