Bullshit. His recievers dropped a pass. His oline was a retard and did a chop block when he didnt have too which bascially took away a TD.

Jared Allen will get a couple on them, and he won't need to do it against Detroit's backup and then his backup.

This game is a perfect critique of Herm's philosophy.

Detroit was forced to settle for field goals early, and despite the fact that they've dominated this game, they are down 14-6.

Score TDs and you win. Settle for field goals and you lose, it's as simple as that.

It also shows why journeymen QBs are not the answer.

Kitna is making some bad throws and bad decisions.

He's a guy that's made a lot of starts, and he still hasn't really learned.

That pass didnt look that uncatchable at all. He was supposed to be all world talent. If your all world talent, you have to catch passes like that. Thats why he got a insane amount of money before playing a NFL down, becuase he's supposed to make that catch.

No one in the league from the janitor to Pereira, has any f*cking clue what a football move is. There is a complete lack of understanding in that element of the rules and that inconsistency can really f*ck some teams over.

I was using a little bit of hyperbole in regards to CJ.

With that being said, most GMs would take CJ over Bowe, but it's not the chasm that it was predraft. Bowe would have been a top 5-7 pick had they known this.

That doesnt mean you drop a 10 yard route across the field while being wide open. I could throw that pass and if its a perfectly thrown ball. YOu still have to catch it.

He's supposed to make the tough catches. Thats why they drafted him. I am not saying he's a bust or anything, but he looks like shit today. I have seen D-Bowe make catches like that all year. Mind you with Damon freaking Horrid as his QB.

Maybe in your rather negative world. I see it differently and I am FAR from being a complete homer. Dline I would take both our ends and the DTs are a wash. 2 out of 3 of our LBs are better. Safetys are a wash and they get the edge at DB.

Neither of which have been fighting injury like Hali has. It's irrelevant at the end of the day. Our defense is the one bright spot on our team and they have been playing phenomenally as a unit this year. I highly doubt they could play the Colts as tough as we did. You can have whatever view you want but if you honestly think even at 100% Hali is better than Kampman I'll take what you are smoking.

Says the guy who would trade a franchise RB for a couple of draft picks......

Your tired schtick is always being negative toward our team (everyone else is always better, etc). It's old and worn out. Get a new one.

That franchise RB is declining and will be nothing more than a salary cap albatros....sad but true..

Ask the Colts and Pats if they'd have signed him...the Colts answered it for you with how they handled James.

Look they should pay Allen, shouldn't have paid LJ....paying heavy workload RB's is just asking for disaster.

Also saying Hali is better than Kampman would be like....someone coming here saying their 2nd end was better than Allen, think about that.

Declining? LMAO

He's what, 27? Hardly declining. Give him something other than a joke of an offensive line and we will see how much he is "declining".

I imagine they WILL pay Allen. They would be foolish not to.

Allen/a healthy Hali > Kampman/KGB. Like it or not.

27 is old for a RB....especially one who just broke a carry record.....

If they wanted to resign LJ to a big deal then they shouldn't have rode him to 416 carries and a 1st round playoff loss, they should have been limiting his carries to pro long his career.

You cross 400 carries, you're screwed.....he'll likely become injury prone and a declining player.

So now he'll LIKELY become a declining player rather than IS one now? Flip flop flip flop...............

He is one now...look at the drop in his YPC, and his injury...

And I'll make the other thing real simple, if given the choice to line up opposite Allen, would you rather have Hali or Kampman....I even think most people on this board would take Kampman.

what the hell is the deal with calvin johnson jumping when he doesn't need too? I have seen games this year where he could snatch a ball and turn upfield but he jumpes catches it right in his chest and gets tackled.

Ask Eddie George about RBs with high miles and declining YPC avg. Very few RBs play into their 30s. Off the top of my head:

Curtis Martin
Corey Dillon
Marcus Allen
John Riggins
Walter Payton
Emmitt Smith
Thurman Thomas
Jerome Bettis

Shoot, I'd better quit... I'm defeating my own argument...:o)

Even Martin never carried it 400 times, but Herm ran him into the ground also.

The only one of those guys that had a considerable number of carries to Johnson without showing any real affects till a few years later was Emmitt Smith.

Thomas did show affects of his load, they changed their offense around it though. His touch number started to vastly decline.

Allen is also a rare case because he basically didn't play for a couple years in the middle of his career.

...which had absolutely Nothing to do with the retirement of a few perennial Pro Bowl offensive linemen and their being replaced by inept muppets. If you want to criticize something about the team, at least get your criticism properly placed. THAT is where the front office dropped the ball completely.

I don't believe even with a good line he will resemble the player he once was ever again.....
