View Full Version : My 11th grade art class portrait of DT...

I drew this as my "portrait" project, I figured that you can never do too much too honor the life of a great linebacker, and human being. Needless to say I pulled an A on this one.

But I'm revising the page I just put this on so it might be awhile before you can see it again...

That the link to my drawing of Derrick Thomas is once again functional.....enjoy.
Artistically talented people make me sick.
Just a tiny bit jealous.
Come to think of it, people in 11th grade make me sick.
A LOT jealous.

Nice pic, dude - how much you want for it?

Hey, I dunno if your serious or not, but even if you were, I'm not quite sure if I'd actually wanna part with it.....maybe for the right price though:D

Hell, yeah I'm serious. But I don't wanna pay out my nose. Tell me what you think is fair and I'll consider it.

Son- Back in my day we didn't have any fancy paints or colored pencils. If we wanted to look at someone on the wall we'd just staple-em up there. And we liked it that way.
Rod- has no artistic ability

Well done, what did the rest of the class think?
07-06-2001, 07:49 PM
The rest of the class thought it was good, I think the only better was some freshman prodigy and I'm not quite sure if she did do better. The teacher loved my stuff, the stuff I did........you see, if I don't get into the thing I'm drawing, I might as well not do it, because I don't try as hard, and don't use too much time, so all the other assignments such as: Draw a clock.....I didn't get into or didn't even do. So I ended the class with a average grade and this bothers me, is she teaching and grading work ethic or art? I was there for the art and I thought my artistic abilities were well enough but I just didn't get the grade.
- Thinks work ethic sucks

I like It! I think the way you high lighted the lower eye makes a statement about DT that we wouldn't other wise see. In a way your drawing is profound. I can't pin point why I feel that way when I look at it but I do get those feelings when I view the drawing. I like it!

Charge Kphobe $40 + shipping and handling!
You'll likely spend it on booze! :D
