Good game tonight, you guys looked good, but your not getting pass OU. We had 6 sacks the first time we played you, and thats without one of our top pass rushers. Sorry guys, its over.

I'd rather OU wins so they're in the Fiesta and Mizzou gets an at-large, perhaps the Sugar Bowl.

I really don't wanna see Kansas in the spotlight getting boned again. If OU chokes next week, the 'Hawks will get in purely on the basis of being the second Big XII team (that fed on a garbage schedule), as the SEC will have its quota full with UGA and LSU/UT and the next-best Big Ten, Big East and Pac-10 schools all suck. Virgina Tech and Boston College's willingness to play OOC on the road will hurt their chances at a BCS Bowl, unfortunately.

KU is an average to solid team. They missed UT, OU and got MU on a neutral field. They played no one OOC. They took care of their business against bad to mediocre teams.

They're not a BCS Bowl-caliber team. The teams that are, at this point, almost certain to be playing in a BCS Bowl---USC, OSU, WVU, LSU/UT, UGA, MU/OU---would all kill Kansas, with the exception of Tennessee depending on which orange team shows up.

Eh, I went into tonight with the attitude that the winner of this game gets the honor of getting thumped by OU. I think the Tigers will give them another great game, but Stoops will end up out-coaching Pinkel.

That said, the OU fans I watched most of the game with tonight are really concerned with having to face Missouri again.

Oh, and Valiant, it may be 60/40 OU/MU fans, but there will be lots of Texas fans that could care less who OU is playing but will rooting just the same for OU to lose.

It will be at least 70-30 in OU's favor. Dallas and Houston have more OU alum than any other US city....

OU plays poorly on the road, but have done well at neutral site this year. (Dallas).

On second thought though, Id say Missouri has the better WR's with Maclin and the TE's. OU's are solid though with Kelly, Iglesias and Gresham.

Both sides of the line, LB's and secondary are heavy in OU's favor, as well as the coaching.

Get outta here with that National Championship shit, it's not gonna happen.

OK, who ever though KU was a good team, what were you thinking? The best team they played was Kansas State, who isn't even bowl eligible. Missouri is a good team. It will be a great game. The pressure however is too much for them. OU has the experience in every major position except QB, although Bradford has been playing like a junior all year. OU wins this weekend big. Mizzou's defense fell apart against Kansas, and OU has proved they can stop Mizzou. Prediction OU 45 MU 24

And Mizzou stood toe to toe with OU in their house. Mizzou's improved since then.. your prediction is ridiculous.

hey buddy, I would like to point out that you guys made that game look close scoring with 12 seconds left to make it a ten point game. Also, don't expect us to go 2-5 on PAT's. Which was another three points we should have had. So Your realize that you basically lost by 20? O yeah, don't forget about our ability to create a pass rush, which Kansas didn't have anything that resembled a defensive line, and the ablility to create turnovers. So get ready to lose big.

KU had more fans at Arrowhead, didn't really help 'em. Who cares if it's 70/30 in the crowd for OU?

My point is that OU is essentially unbeatable in Norman. How many has Stoops lost at home? 2 or 3 in ten years?

They're not unbeatable at a neutral site.

I think it's gonna be a great game. I am by no means certain of a Mizzou victory. You seem to think it's a layup for the Sooners.

If you read any of my post I have said they are a good team and it will be a good game.

And when you say they are a lot better at home, what do you think makes a team better at home? The turf, the locker room your used to at half time? The fact that you don't have to ride the bus the night before? No, its your FANS, and how loud they get, have you ever played a sport? Therefor, do you think there will be more fans for OU at the game or for MU? (remember its in Texas)

Missouri is definitely in uncharted territory. OU has played for big stakes before as a program.

I think it'll be another barn burner. If I had to bet the mortgage, I'd bet on OU, because they'll carry a lot of their fans with them, and Missouri will not.

I hate to give creedence to anything Lou "Granny Clampett" Holtz has to say, but I do agree that Missouri spent a lot of emotion preparing for the Arrowhead game, and it may be hard for them to generate the same emotion, even though they'll carry a number one bulls eye on their back.

My head says Oklahoma, but my heart says GO MIZZOU.

It would be nice to have the Tigers come through just once (in my lifetime) for a shot at the prize.

BTW: No fans are more obnoxious than OU fans. I worked in a bar in Columbia for five years, and worked around fans from all the old Big 8 schools. Nebraska and Iowa State fans were very polite, OSU and K-State fans very loyal to their teams but not mean spirited. Colorado were cheaters (example: 5th down game), KU fans would give you the business, but you expected that. OU fans were just plain arrogant, loud, rude, boorish, rednecks. Poor sports, rub your nose in it kind of people. They beat Mizzou in Norman 77-0 in the '80s.

We are just as tired of hearing how wonderful Bob Stoops and the OU program is....how it pretty much is a foregone conclusion that MU can't play 2 "emotional" games in a row. That Mizzou has no chance to be in the BCS NC game. Last I checked they make you play the game and earn your berth.

Bradford probably has the edge with ability. But Chase brings more to the table than Bradford. Chase doesn't seem to get rattled under presure. Chase is also the clear cut leader of that O. Bradford is a part of the OU O.

It's really too bad Chase isn't 3-4 inches taller. He'd make a solid NFL QB if he had a little more size to him.

And if you really want to count all of your NC's to claim superiority, then let me clue you in on something. Going all the way back to when they started keeping the list of National Championships Yale has 11...does that make them better than OU? How about Harvard and Princeton....they have 7 National Championships too? Does that make them equal to OU?

It appears you are a troll with little more than a surface knowledge of anything remotely connected to football.

Ok if you want to start comparing recent history lets go with this. Since 2000, Ou has 88 wins(the most in the nation in that span) and Mizzou has 49. National Championship apperances, OU 3 MU 0. OU lowest win season was 8 MU's lowest win season was 3. OU Bowl apperances 6 MU Bowl appearances 3.

So if you want to start saying our recent history isn't very good. Maybe you are comparing us to the Patriots.

I say that the winner takes it by a 3 point margin.

First, let me say it pains me to say this. MU is a very talented team.

2nd, KU fan, just letting it be known.

The few weeks preceding our game, I truly thought OU and Ore were the top 2 teams- both lost their QB's and lost- so it goes.

I truly believe that MU, OU and KU are all worthy of being top 5 teams.

MU- Your boy Daniel was money. Congrats to him. Your team not only didn't turn it over you dictated the 2 areas of KU's supposed strength in the TO's and rushing attack. You fully won that game, no doubt.

I hate the fact we missed 2 FG's- which would have at least made the game tied, and turned it over 2 more times w/in the redzone and killed any chance at points there.

It really pains me to see Mizzou doing as well as they are, but you guys are really deserving of the top spot. I'm sure many here will say KU got worked and are pretenders- so be it. In my POV, we had the worst 1st half of our entire season, and still managed to make a game of it. I give much credit to MU for that and still believe KU partly screwed themselves, but in the end the team that won was the 1 that played a more complete game and based on their play from start finish deserved the W.

I am p!ssed GA and tOSU both jumped us, b/c MU should be #1, and of the 1 loss teams, KU has their only loss to the top team in the nation. Whatever, we lost, and it was our chance...

I am conflicted in having to root for MU, even though it helps KU's BCS bowl game chances. Yes, I hate MU but I respect your guy's team and think they're top notch. I'm not stupid enough to be blind to the fact they are top notch.

Wish there was a way we could meet up for a rematch this year. I thought the game was great. Maybe not the back and forth many expected, but you guys pushed us into a corner, and we at least had the resolve to make a game of it.

I hope the years to come hold the same tension and stakes!

Congrats on your win- even if some here will think KU was a pretender. Those who watch CFB, I think, will see it different.

So OU holding you to 55 yds was one of the rare occassions right?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't TWO of the defensive linemen who started that game for OU injured? One out for the season, the other (English) with a stress fracture that MIGHT let him play? But is unlikely to be 100 percent?

English was by far the best defensive player for OU in that game - his pressure on the outside made the difference. Without English, OU has struggled to get to the passer - see Texas Tech.

Missouri is better than Tech across the board offensively - including the offensive line. If OU doesn't start generating more rush from its front four, Daniel will have even more success through the air than he did the first time.

Oh, and Missouri is getting much better play at RB than it was at that game. Temple is healthy and running like a maniac. Jackson has been effective in his role, and true freshman Derrick Washington has emerged, too.

Cocina -

The reason kU fell that far is simple: The schedule. kU has played one team receiving votes in the top 25, and it lost. Maybe it isn't fair, but that's the reason.

No team that loses to Colorado should be pounding their chest talking about how they "kicked" Mizzou's a$$ and it was only close because they "let us score".

So....Sooner fan....lace them up and let them play. But don't come here looking for anything but a large group of MU fans wanting revenge. And if you think we are just going to lie down and hand the trophy to you because you beat us where you should, at your home field, think again. We have our best shot in many years and we damn well think we can beat you.

And I won't be that disappointed if OU looses as some may think. I mean I HATE the Big 10 and Pac 10. Ohio State sits there at third, dont have to play a conf. championship game, lost 1 of thier last 2 ( at HOME no less to an unranked team ) and are just praying for MU or WV to lose a game they dont have to play so they can sneak in to the National Championship game. Wouldn't surprise me.

So you are saying OU is not good enough to overcome some bad calls?

LiL stumppy

well, kid, you have a built in excuse, right? that, along with the fact that 'oh, we had a few players out! we weren't playing in norman! our playcalling wasn't as good as yours!'

give me a few hours and I'll get you some more excuses. google is your friend.

Ha I haven't made one excuse, I was agreeing with the statement earlier because it made some sense, please refresh my mind on how thats an excuse? And yes, I did say we had one of our better players out, and it worried me, but nothing more nothing less. So please refresh my mind, how is that an excuse? I have never said ONE thing about where we are playing other than I believe we will have a bigger fan base because it's closer than normal. I haven't made one excuse yet, and won't no matter the outcome of the game Saturday. So I don't see how I have "built" an excuse.

Are you serious? I said that because it makes sense that the refs would call the game towards MU so more Big 12 teams can get in the BCS bowl games.

ROFL Your logic is dizzying.

Now did you really mean to say the calls go MU's way but OU still comes out on top (not that that isgoing to happen, nor is OU going to have a home field advantage crowd, you have heard about the modern transportation system we have in the US, MIzzou will travel very well for this game).

Um once again, I said it wouldn't surprise me if they happened, never said it would for sure, or its going to, and that not an excuse either. I am sorry your brain doesn't have the ability to comprehend a little statement, so I will spell things out for you in the future.

Not that it matters but Columbia is 850 miles from San Antonio. Norman is 450.

I love it when someone's spelling and grammar hovers at an apparent 3rd grade level, yet he flings insults left and right about the intellect of others.

"if they happened" If who happened?

"and that not an excuse either."

"Your an idiot."

If YOU'RE going to insult others, at least consult your remedial English textbook or perhaps look at dictionary.com before you submit your post. You would merely look like a jerk instead of an illiterate bore.

Says the troll that starts a thread talking shit about MU about 5 minutes after the KU/MU game ended just to get attention drawn to himself. The funny thing is that the "your and idiot" reference is a joke on this board but you didn't get that either. I'm sure that probably has something to do with that fine Oklahoma education you have. Maybe you and your little troll OU buddy on here can do something more productive like have butt sex in your ozark love shack.

As you say it does not matter, Alumni will be coming from all over the country, not to mention the fact that kids from Mizzou have no problem in getting to Florida and South Texas in mass every spring, do you really think they (and all of the other Mizzou fans) will have a problem getting to San Antonio for the biggest game in forty some odd years….I think not.

Sorry, I have other things more important in my life than trying to impress two grammar Nazis with my typing/spelling abilities. I will leave it at that, because I'm a nice guy, and I'm not usually the one to make fun of ones disabilities, (in this case, you having no life, what so ever.) So feel free to criticize my grammar, while you do that I will actually do something tomorrow, and over the weekend, and the day after, and probably the day after that too, while you two are picking apart my spelling abilities. So let her rip tater chip.Oh, and BTW,was that a run-on sentence?

Calling you on your troll behavior with piss poor spelling and grammar = having no life.

I asked how bad spelling and grammar makes me a troll, and your answer was "Maybe that out of nearly 1800 total posts, 1400 of them have been in this thread in less than a week?" That has nothing to do with spelling and grammar, depends, were you a MU football fan for longer than a few months?

You're 17, a Sooners fan, and you're calling others band wagon fans? Let me guess, you also like the Yankees, Cowboys, and Lakers right? Whatever the answer is, don't give people shit about being a band wagon fan when you root for a team that hasn't been bad once in your entire life. It's real hard rooting for frontrunners isn't it. That wasn't a question.
