1954 Corvette. My father had to sell his when I was born. It just wouldn't work as a family car, obviously.

Damned if I know why he chose to keep me and sell the car.

I'd buy my dad's 69 Camaro. Then I'd sock that damn money some nice mutual funds and buy lots of cars with the yeilds. In the meantime, I could have enough fun with the Camaro.

Thanks for the insight. I've had a few friends that had nothing but problems with the Cayenne. Transmission, brakes - you name it. Because of that, I'm going to pass.

Last week, we bought a 2008 Lexus RX350, fully loaded with DVD, game system and wireless headphones. It's a really great vehicle and it feels more like a "truck" than in previous years. But I'd kinda feel like a dork if my wife and I have the same car. Wonder Twins!

Thanks again!

Fail!

Early SHO's had a 0-60 of 7.5 seconds, although the Yamaha powerplant could take a massive beating. They were "quick" at best. You would have to get a Ferrari from around 1920 that couldn't beat an SHO.

I work for an electronics manufacture that caters to the law enforcement community. In the course of this job, I had the opportunity to evaluate a BMW R1100 RT that we loaded up with our equipment.
My evaluation of the bike was that the chassis and suspension were superb. Fantastic. One of the better suspended bikes I’ve ever ridden. The “tele-lever” front end works well, next to zero front end dive on the brakes, and it hid its weight well. You’d think it would be hard to sport ride a +600 lb bike, but the Beemer loved getting tossed from side to side and trail braking passed mid corner then grabbing a hand full of throttle didn’t upset the chassis at all.
That magnificent chassis is completely let down by that buzzing, gutless lump of a motor. I know some guys are fans of the “boxer” engine, but IMO it’d be more useful as a boat anchor.
But like I said, I’m a performance enthusiast.

$2,200 per month? Whoa.

After 41 months, I'm sad to say that I'm disappointed with my Mercedes. I've only driven it 17,900 miles but in that time I've had the brakes replaced twice as well as a few other minor issues.

Additionally, the features on the 2005 ML pale in comparison to the 2004 RX330 we bought for my wife at the same time. The ML's nav system was poorly designed, the CD changer was in the rear of the car and I only got about 10 miles to the gallon in the city. So after all of that, I really don't want another ML, even though they tell me it's been re-designed.

I'm seriously contemplating the Lexus 400H hybrid SUV. I wish more "luxury" car makers were offering hybrids at this time.

Yeah I had an 03 S-500, wasn't disappointed but it didn't make sense anymore with the rises at the pump. It's hard to argue with something that defies gravity though. My wife has the gas guzzler. We bought the QX 56 07. That little Lexus SUV Hybrid is hot though. The Japs are slowly closing the gap on the Germans lead in luxury.
