The auction started at like $8 bucks, I got them for $15.50...would have gone higher too...

The ones he's selling now are listed at $8.95...he told me he only had two packs so either he's selling them both or he lied to me...I don't care...I'm just glad I was able to get one of them....I mean when I saw Marcus and the Chiefs logo, no question in my mind that I had to have them...funny thing is the guy bought them in KC and there's a date on the carton of 1999...I sure as hell never saw them because if I did I would have bought 10 or 20 six packs...:D

Now you need the bottles with the 35th Anniversary of the AFL-AFC Kansas City Chiefs to go with them.:D

Perhaps like many things football, they were in "select" stores tied in with an obsure team promo...

I bought a 6-pack about 2 years ago at the local supermarket for $3.00, I think. It was like they couldn't get rid of the things...they were just sitting in a corner collecting dust.

However, I tripped on my cat and ended up bending a corner of the cardboard.

all I can figure is that they were in select stores, in limited numbers and I missed them...maybe no one likes coke in wichita....:D

I hope your cat is okay Clint....lol

I just saw Marcus Allen last week at Bristol Farms Grocery mart on Sunset. It's right next door to where I live, and he was there buying groceries. He's not as big as I thought he'd be; his calves were very thin; It must be genetics! He also said that he expects the Chiefs to have a better season than what everyone else thinks.

58Forever,

You are right about select stores carrying the bottles. Some of the bottles were produce exclusively for certain chains of stores. I am back in California but last year when I was in Kansas City I went to several antique malls. There is a big antique mall in Independence that I went to and they had a whole section of collectible Coke bottles. I wish I had a Kansas City phone book because if I heard the name of the mall I would know it. I had a business card in my wallet but when I was robbed and they took my wallet I don't have it anymore.

I bought mine at "Food 4 Less", which used to be "Food Barn", which used to be "Safeway".
