Taking the family to the matinee next Saturday, December 8th, at the Sprint Center. Bought 16 tickets and I'm only using 11. Pretty good seats, one block of three on the floor, another block of two close to the floor.

Hope many of you are going, as it's the best rock and roll Christmas show going, other than ZepSinger's band at church.

Anybody else going to the matinee or evening show?

Did I inadvertantly piss in someone's Wheaties?

Face. I think I spent about $50.00 apiece. 2 off the rail, 3 on the floor.

OK, just checked what I've got. 3 tix, FLR 3, Row 1. I have 1-8 and my family will be using 5 of those.

The other is a set of two, Section 106, Row 6. I have seats 1-8, but 6 are spoken for.

Tickets were 45.00 + 10.75 Ticketmaster Rape charges, so 55.75 apiece.

Scratch the pair in 106. The trio is in play, but might have an offer.

For those that smoked me, just letting you know they've been spoken for, Thanks.

As you know, I never miss them.

Four tix on the floor for the St. Louis matinee on December 9th. I payed $47 each, including all the extra fees. Not bad for floor seats!

But when the hell are they finally gonna release Night Castle? I hear Kurdt Vanderhoof (Metal Church) plays on it!

Basically, they're the symphonic power metal band Savatage, plus an orchestra and a whole slew of singers ranging in style from opera to blues to gospel to Broadway, plus a few other luminaries from the metal community (including Alex Skolnick, formerly of Savatage and Testament; and lately, Kurdt Vanderhoof of Metal Church).

I just got back from today's matinee show in St. Louis. I swear, the show gets bigger and better every year! Fabulous, as always! Unfortunately, they don't have time to do the meet-n-greet after the 3:00 show like they do after the 8:00 show, but I still got to get up close and personal with three of them. Kristin Gorman (possibly the hottest creature to ever come out of Kansas City), Anna Phoebe and Angus Clark get up on the platform behind the control center each year, at different parts of the show, and I was seated along the aisle right next to the platform. And I had an empty seat right in front of me at the time Anna Phoebe came running down the aisle toward the platform (the guy sitting there had wandered off for a bathroom break, much to his chagrin), so before mounting the platform, she hopped up on the chair in front of me and did a violin solo!

And let me tell you, that quad-torch (part of the show's pyrotechnics) that is mounted just in front of the performers' platform at the control center puts of some hellacious heat!

I really regret not going. I'll definitely get tickets next time through.
