I think Va Tech will win the battle in the trenches and its speed on D will slow down KU. Without question Va Tech's D much better than any KU has faced before.

I see Va Tech winning by a couple of scores.

VT and KU should be an interesting match up. The biggest concern for KU will be stopping Tyrod Taylor. He's not much of a thrower, rather he's more of a Vick style QB, take the snap from the shotgun and typically pull it down and run. If KU gets gashed by Taylor like Daniel did to them, it could be a long day.

Tech's offensive line is suspect and Ore is hurting, so if KU can stop the run and force the pass, they've got a shot assuming KU has a good secondary, I dont really know.

Tech is a different team against a talented club on the road. If KU were playing in Blacksburg, Virginia, then I'd say they were in for a tough battle. A neutral site will take away much of Tech's supposed advantage.

In a normal year, where the Big 12 was better and there were 2 or 3 elite teams in college football, you wouldn't have even gotten a sniff of a BCS game. lj4mvp,

Your hatred for KU is clouding your judgment.

KU is nearly as good as MU or possibly as good with a healthy Anthony Collins and James McClinton, plus a secondary that actually isn't missing two starters.

I think MU would kill a team like VTech, so why couldn't a balanced team like KU give them a game, let alone beat 'em?

Either way, this debate will be settled come January 3rd.

KU hasn't faced a defense as statistically as VT, alot of team speed.

VT's offense isn't barn burners, KU's D should be able to keep them in check.

ST's will be a BIG part of this game / same as the turnovers.

Who ever has the better ST's play and wins the turnover battle will most likely win this game.

Virginia Tech has the near best ST in the country year year in and out...and I don't think Kentucky...I mean KU...can stop our offense...too much speed and strength. But Jabba has had a month to prepare. That's what makes the bowl games so interesting

I am looking forward to seeing KU get their butts handed to them.....but in reality i bet it will be a close and good game. Should be exciting...
That is all I ask for in any bowl game my teams make. Make a good respectable showing. If we win great, if we lose at least make it close.
In those scenarios, I will be happy.

I don't expect KU to win. It would be nice, but Va Tech seems to be in another league. This is the 15th season in a row they have been to a bowl.

I'm just going to enjoy the game without relying on the outcome.

KU could very well win, but I kinda doubt it.

No. Sean Glennon pretty much stopped your offense.

Of course, it helps when your best player was late for a meeting as well.

Either way, I give VT credit for not rolling over and playing dead when it was 17-0.

Indeed.

Good game by Kansas. It took them until the 13th round, but they finally beat a top team. Anyone predicting a win before the game was either going out on a limb, a significant doubter of Va. Tech or a KU homer.

If there were more games (PLAYOFFS!), I could see KU actually competing with a legitimate team. Hard to tell before this game.

Chalk one up on the wrong board. I WAS WRONG. We all swing and miss - just like a lot of you Kansas fans when MU whipped up on that ass. The character test comes in when we see who mans up to it.

As to the hilarious "vanishing act" comment ... uh, yeah, try and find a lot of my posts that are made at 11pm ET or later. Good luck. Living in the UK, where it was 4am at that time, you're going to be hard pressed to do that.

Good game, Jayhawks. Now step it up on the recruiting scene, convince players to return for their senior years and represent the Big XII every year.

Their great performance certainly hurt me in a few parlays. Luckily, I didn't bet on them individually. In fact, the only team I did was USC and the Trojans cashed in.

In one parlay, I nailed WVU covering, USC covering and Texas covering ... but I missed on Va. Tech, so that was a bummer. Had 10-to-1 on that.

Geeze guys..I tried to get in last night and I couldn't get my POS 700w to work.

anyway....

Good game. KU was the better team last night, but I still think the ACC is tougher than the Big 12. What you saw last night was what happens when a QB loses a game with bad decisions. I don't care who you play, when your QB(s) toss int's on your side of the field you're bound to lose. Congrats on the Win. You and MU both deserve the glory for the Big 12 season. Do I think you got lucky. Yes I do, but I would rather be lucky than good any day of the week.

I also thought it was very classy to kneel on the ball at the end. The Kansas Coach is aces in my book.

A little advice to KU and MU folks. Hopefully your respective teams perform like this every year, but don't get caught up in the BCS and bowl games. They are for fun. The only Championship you should ever really care about is the Conference one.

Told you KU would win, they play team ball and tough to beat unless they help the other team out.... KU lead the nation in takeaways this year for a reason. They also was the only team in the country to have a top 5 offense and defense at the same time.
