View Full Version : do you let your daughters go to club libby lus?

have any of you taken your daughters to libby lus? if so, why the hell would you subject them to such a thing? That place is so ****ing ridiculous that it makes me want to puke!!

I don't understand how parents can object their daughters to that shit when there are pedophiles roaming around places like that just waiting to snatch up some little girl meat. God damn, the trend of parenting has gone way south....

It's definitely a sign of how bad our society has gotten...

Anyways, if you got any stories or feelings about the subject, chime in. im curious to know what everybody else thinks of that brothel of a place.

ok, the point of the place is to dress girls up in very skanky outfits and makeup like celebrities, divas and so forth. after they get all that done, they strike poses, most of the time sexual like in nature and then parade them throughout the mall and they put on dance shows... its teaching little daughters exactly how to be sluts...

And this is something all us men are grateful for, when they turn 18 and aren't our own daughters. The problem is human genetics, not human commerce.

You mean take my little girls (5 thru 9) into a place that dresses them in slutty, midriff-baring outfits and a tons of hooker-style makeup, thereby implanting the message that their identity and self-worth depends on how hot they can look? I think not.

Like anyone on here is going to admit something like that now.

As long as you don't take your daughter there, than that's really all you have control over.

Personally, I've never even heard of such a thing. We have Glamour Shots, but it's definitely nothing like you describe. Maybe heavy make-up, but that's more due to lighting and lenses.

yeah, society will do a good enough job of implanting that message all on it's own, unless you are a mennonite or something.

i saw an article in newsweek how halloween custumes have gotten out of control. I always new for 20 year olds it was a excuse to dress slutty, but i gues right out of the bag stuff from wal mart was slutty like back up singer outfit, and some other outfits i didn't quite get. I guess they were supposed to be "rockstar" hannah montana kind of costumes but they were middrift halter tops with f-me boots on. For agens 10 and up. It was disturbing.

Yeah, it's the internet dude. Rottin' the youth's brains.

I think every parent should bring in a motivation speaker that was the whore that was passed around in high school, and give them some insight of how their life is now. You know, working at Denny's by day and coke snorting prostitute by night.

If only young teen girls were smart enough to know that as you get older, guys aren't going to respect you if you are a whore. They may f*ck you and be nice to you for a short period of time, but they aren't going to respect you. If I ever brought back bar trash back to my apartment and shown them the business, no way would I respect them or even think about dating them.....yet so many of them wonder why they have so much guy problems.

I know we are probably talking about Hannah Montana aged kids here, but some how that message needs to be relayed in a political correct manner to young girls before they figure it out and it's too late.

All I know is, if I ever have a daughter, I hope she's not the cute fat chick that gives all the guys in school head. I probably wouldn't let her leave the house unsupervised until out of college because I would know there are guys like me out there.

Doesn't stop me from doing my best as a dad to raise them with the right values until they're old enough to make those decisions on their own. It's my job as a parent and damn if I'm gonna throw my hands up and say "What's the point?" Besides- there's a far better chance of them withstanding current society's pressure if they've been given the love and life-long security to believe that they matter just as they are.

I've never heard of this place, but i get the idea.

A few years ago my local talent agent asked me to go with her & be a judge at a national kids talent show...i honestly felt sick & sad for these kids, many of the girls were dressed up like tarts & had tons of makeup on...creepy doesnt begin to describe it.

I wanted to smack all of their fat, overbearing moms living vicariously through them hard enough to loosen teeth. You could just see the uneasiness of many of these kids...chaffing under the pressure as their joyless, stern faced moms egged & lectured them on.

Anyone who would put their kids in that stuff or take them to Libby Lust dont deserve to be parents.

My younger daughter just finished her second year of football. They won the championship. She tried cheerleading first but it was too boring. Now that the boys have gotten too big for her to compete with (my decision, not hers), I asked her if she wanted to go back to cheerleading again. She said that she thought cheerleaders were girls that were either so girly that they couldn't do sports or were desperate for attention. She doesn't want to do it. I'm glad.

A few years ago the family and I stayed at hotel in Louisville on our way to Chicago. The place was hosting one of those Jon Benet-type beauty pageants. I'd never seen those things up close, only on TV. It was stomach-turning to see these 5-year-old girls get on the elevators with us, with tons of makeup and sexy glitter costumes and stuff.

And almost to a kid, just like you said, the moms were FAT -- I mean at least 50 lbs overweight -- UGLY, trailer trash bitches.

From what I gather it is a place to bring 8-12 year old girls for birthday parties and they get to dress up like Hannah Montana or generic pop-stars. Some people seem to be offended by the dress up/make up aspect. The web page for the place seems pretty innocent, but maybe it is run in a trashy manner. I don't see the big deal.

It's a place where young girls can have b-day parties and play dress up and pretend. Last time I waked past one at the MoA, they were...gasp...dressed up like cheerleaders.

If I had one complaint or concern it would be that the one at the MoA is surrounded by glass on all four sides. They are not hidden form public viewing which could be trouble. But so are play grounds and Chucky Cheeses.

I also like how some want to cluck & project their own "guilty feelings" onto others views, i dont give a damn how you slice it...a 5-6 year old all made up like Jon Benet Ramsey looks sick...dont blame the messenger.

Yes. The other two are okay, just a lot of make up, which is common for "dress up". It looks to me, though, that the parent would have control on just how much (or little) the child can wear. The business is there to make money. If the parents allow they're daughters to dress like that, that's on the parents.

But that's not what I'm saying. By looking at some pictures, they have clothes that parents can let their children choose from. You're not a bad parent by taking your daughter there. Just because the company provides "trendy" clothes doesn't mean the parents have to allow their daughters to choose those clothes. The company simply supplies the demand of the consumers.

Those pics are obviously chosen to make your point. When I took my daughter there for some girls birthday, there was nothing "slutty" about it. Just a bunch of girls playing dress up.

Now, I can't get too upset about some young, judgemental, punk, behind a keyboard, believing that I am a d-bag, but it sure illuminates who YOU are!

I haven't taken my daughter there, but that's just me... I think jumping in and judging others that have taken their children there is wrong.

The thread author acts as if it's slut school, get over yourself. It's girls playing dress up... I'm not necessarily a fan of the store, but I'm not going to judge others.

I'm guessing those of you that are expressing issues with this don't allow your daughters to play dress up, wear cheer leader outfits for their teams, etc.

Also, Jayhawkerman ... state your age and if you have kids.
