Because they cheated and they win, so they get a lot of press. I really don't think people hate them because they cheated. I think it's pure jealousy. I don't mind the Pats. And, I was never bothered that much by spygate. I think 50% of all the teams in the NFL try to steal signals in one way or another. I wish the Chiefs would steal signals. Oh well, you'll get over it.

I think your team was very lucky and also benefited from some bad calls. But in fairness, good teams capitalize on those things and that's what the Patriots did. I knew when they got the penalty that gave them 4th and 6th that the game was ironically lost.

Amnorix
12-03-2007, 10:06 PM
You should. The Pats are a great team but that was a BS holding call.

Which one.

I saw some calls that didn't get made also. Specifically, on the Ed Reed interception the intended receiver was DEFINITELY hit before the ball got there, which opened things up for Reed to get the pick. Brady went ballistic, and the replay clearly showed it.

If that gets called as pass interference, then things are very different.

Mainly, I mean both our run defense for about half the game, and the factt aht we failed to convert, twice, on 4th and 1 only to be saved by a Ravens TO and a false start.

And, overall, it was a poor performance, though I'm sure the wind played a major factor.

One thing is for sure -- the Pats better get ready for everyone's A+++ game. We need to match their intensity, or we'll get beat without doubt.

That's because Belichick is a genius. He intentionally had his team take a false start so his WR's would have more space to work. Herm would never have that kind of foresight.

I don't mind that. I didn't mind at all last week when we beat the Iggles in a tough game. And I know teams will bring their A++ game.

But we got stuffed twice on 4th and 1 and were saved by stupidity and luck. That's not the kind of winning football I expect out of this team.

Seriously, on at least two plays the Ravens clearly should've been called. The Ed Reed pick (another player hit the intended receiver before the ball arrived) and on the hail mary at the end, someone raped Asante Samuel big time.

I didn't hear the first question from the media, but Brady said something like "You guys tell me, I'll get fined if I say anything". Then the media guy said "It looked like the calls went your way on that last drive" and that's when Brady said "they didn't go our way the first 3 quarters"... he didn't yell or anything, but he sounded seriously annoyed.

I think that's the biggest sign that the level of play in the NFL sucks. Not that the Pats aren't a great team, but their playcalling might be the most predictable in the league and nobody can stop them.

I don't mind that. I didn't mind at all last week when we beat the Iggles in a tough game. And I know teams will bring their A++ game.

But we got stuffed twice on 4th and 1 and were saved by stupidity and luck. That's not the kind of winning football I expect out of this team.

I'll take it, but I'm not going to watch this game on tape. No pride there...I'll pray for you.

On the replay ESPN just showed he is grabbing Watson before the ball is even thrown....if you see it the whole way he is grabbing the shit out of him.But they shouldn't call it if doing that helps the Patriots!

Yes. Worse 5 minutes of football under the Belichick era. It was Keystone Kops, comedy of errors.

But that team at least had a decent defense. The offense sucked, but the defense was stout, so they were a threat to win. This current Miami team is among the least talented I've ever seen.

The hold was legit. Apparently Watson was being held during the entire route.

If it was just the little bit at the end, it would've been interference. That wasn't the call.

The Ravens was doing a mug job all night. Apparently after those 7 flags in the first 9 minutes of the game or whatever, the refs decided they shouldn't call a penalty on EVERY play against the Ravens on national TV, even if they deserved it.

He threw the flag AFTER the ball was deflected to the grown. I know it was holding. He was bumped and the defender had his hands in front of him. Thats why the ref 15 yards away called holding. AFTER the play. The supposed holding happened at the beginning of the play. 1. Where the hell does the flag come from? The ref in the middle of the field couldn't see it because he is in front of the "holding". The ref in the end zone who i thought called it doesn't throw the flag. That leaves the sideline guys...wtf?

2. WOW THATS HOLDING? that happens EVERY play in the nfl!!!! It was just a bump and then the guy ran with him. Was good coverage NOT holding.

EDIT:

No no no i see it now Was the ref in the back of the end zone. And with his hands he was impeding his running. I never noticed how long he actually stayed with him. So ****! I want the pats to lose ><

It seemed to me that the Ravens were going to try every trick in the book and see if the refs would continue to call stuff if they kept trying it. Seriously.
