I think this is going to be a great year for the Chiefs. Its a new beginning. A new era. I think we'll surprise all (I'm not giving a prediction indicating the record until TCs over with, though) the so called "experts." It's just a feeling...a good feeling.
Anywho, one player that I think was a steal in this draft was Blaylock. I think he is gonna be our guy in a couple years, maybe more, depending on how Holmes does. Just like LMT said, its our time to FINALLY get that featured back we have all been hoping for. Only time will tell, but I feel pretty good about DB.
Is it just me, or do some of you feel its going to be a good year too?
1 more week til' TC!!!!!:D

Me and the Mrs. are cranked for the upcoming season. Hopefully all these changes that have taken place will put us in contention. Of course that may not happen but we still think most of the off season moves will help us in the long run.

I agree that these moves will help us in the long run, if not this year. All I want is Super Bowl victories by the time I die!!!! Hopefully sooner rather than later, but I can wait...I guess:D
"Whatever it takes to win!!!!"
If you have not read Keg's post regarding Will Shields take on the RB's you should. I am definately pumped about this season.

Yeah, Cody, Will had some nice things to say about Blaylock. You should read it if you haven't already. ;)

How did I miss that thread?! I'm glad I'm not the only one excited about him!!!
is happy he's not alone on DB

I'd be a lot more excited about this season if the best darned quarterback in the league didn't play for our hated rivals in Oakland.
Rich Gannon would provide the leadership that young Darren Blaylock is going to need.
Rich Gannon would realize that Tommy Richardson needs to get more touches.
Rich Gannon proved in last year's Pro Bowl that he can get the ball to Tony Hernandez in the end zone. Nuff said there.
Rich Gannon would make Priest Homie into a Pro Bowl running back.
Rich Gannon would fill the stands in my beloved Arrowhead week after week.
(I just typed "Rich Gannon" so many times that I had an orgasm.)

You are one SICK individual!!!
I am looking forward to this season.
I am not expecting a great record.
What I am looking forward to is an aggressive, attacking Offense and Defense. After years of Martyball and two pathetic years of the Raye Gun, I am ready for a team that attacks on both sides of the ball. And after two years of the Spineless Jellyfish Stooge, I am really stoked to see some zoneless Defense.
What I am looking for is steady improvement from a coaching staff that actually has a clue.
Anything more than that is gravy.
Had his expectations severely lowered by the Stooges.

Can't put my finger on it, but I belive the talent is there.
New system. C'mon...It's football. Kill the man with the ball.
Listen, if Gun can get a FG away from winning the division in his first year....Coaching CAN make a difference. Look at Jackson with the Lakers.

It doesn't matter what the Chiefs' season outlook is, I always look forward to the football season.
In my world, there are only 2 seasons,
football season and football deprivation season.
Football deprivation season sucks.

I look forward to every year.
Unlike last year, I'm going to raise my expectation level a little bit.
We may or may not win anymore games this year, but, I'm confident the team will play better football.
Mental mistakes by the coaching staff and QB won't cost us in close games.

I can't wait , we should be improved this year . Don't know how far we will go but we will be on the upswing . Nothing like another year of Chiefs football, Go Chiefs

All of a great mood.
Smiles on everyone’s faces,
And the incredible food.
A common cause,
A wonderful thing.
A common foe,
A victory we’ll bring.
A sense of purpose,
As we walk to the sacred field.
We’ll all contribute,
And our enemies will all yield.
Entering the massive structure,
Humanity presses in.
A sea of red clad warriors,
The battle’s about to begin.
Here come our heroes,
Their names we all know.
Charging to their destiny,
Their leaders in tow.
Seventy thousand stand,
As music fills the air.
Our anthem is glorious,
The pride I can hardly bear.
The music changes,
Our sons take the field.
No voice is silent,
Blood will soon be spilled.
Thus the season commences,
The best yet we can contrive.
On towards glory,
And yes, oh yes, I am alive!
oh yeah, i'm ready for the season...
