Kansas Attorney General Paul Morrison will announce his resignation at 3 p.m. today, sources tell Prime Buzz.
A top Democrat and a person close to Morrison confirmed this afternoon that Morrison is gone.

"I'm not sure what he'll say," the Democrat said. "But the real fact of the matter is he and (Morrison's wife) Joyce have made the decision not to drag their kids through this any longer. The kids are really suffering."
Some leading Kansas Democrats remain furious with Morrison. "I've never had this much of a political knock in my life," one said. "We'll get over it, and we'll move on. It's not a 15-yard penalty; it's a lot bigger than that."

Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius has been out of town and has not pressured Morrison to leave, the Democrat said.
But, he said, she believes stepping down is the right thing to do.

Morrison this morning scheduled a news conference for 3 p.m. today in Topeka.

Maybe if he cared about putting his kids through an infidelity scandal he should have kept from putting it in his secretary or whomever she was.

He must be quitting for his family, because basically nobody in Kansas cares about his affair.

How did this all come out? Oh yeah, a woman claimed he was harrassing her and that he was trying to influence ongoing legal matters. But atleast he has the right priorities....

Who cares? Sheesh! He cheated! so what?!?!?!?! Sounds like a lot of people are making a mountain out of a mole hill.

I agree if he didn't want anyone to find out about it he shouldn't have done it in the first place.

Women say a lot of things when you dump them.

True, but usually they don't give sworn testimony to federal agents outlining times, dates and locations of illegal activities.

No doubt. I've had my house searched by police because of one of the crazier ones.

Not too big a one, as he's probably still walking funny from his last campaign. ;)
