I am sick of watching the Weather Channel and or the national feeds of the major networks. Every time they look at the storm in our region, they talk about how it will affect the North East.

Yeah, screw how it will affect the plains and the midwest.

It's because it will turn into a Noreaster when it hits here. which is basically a hurricane with snow. I'm assuming you don't get hurricane's with snow in the mid west, right? kind of need an ocean for that.

Agreed. My way of thinking is, if it's going to be colder than crap out anyways, there atleast might as well be snow on the ground. I'd rather see snow on the ground than soggy dead grass and trees with no leaves on them.

We really don't get that many "big ones" here either. Just enough little ones to make a mess out of everything. The best part is that there's a 1" layer of ice underneath all of the snow here. I probably won't see the pavement of my driveway again until March.

I never even know when there is a storm coming. It's a big waste of time. The weather channel always lies to you anyways. Why? Better ratings, duh. And they have a duty to protect you from any possibilities of inclement weather.

I know its hard to predict the future, but can we have a little honesty in prediction? I would respect weather men and women much more if I heard them say "I have no idea what is going to happen." A monkey could do their job and probably better then they do. Wild animals know weather patterns pretty well.

To clarify, I don't want the snow. I hate it. So, in that regard, I'm glad they were wrong.

What I'm not terribly thrilled about is the mass hysteria they cause when they predict these "massive" storms, then whiff completely.

I was at the hospital most of the day yesterday visiting my FIL, and on the way home decided to stop at the grocery store for a 12 pack of Shiner. 9:00 on a Friday night and the place was a ****ing circus. You would have thought people we're going to be bunkered down for weeks.
