This half hour infomercial is going to be broadcast throughout Iowa the weekend of December 22nd - 23rd. I haven't seen it yet... But thought I'd relay it to all the Paul fans here...

They did for Ross Perot.

Of course he was a lot more entertaining.

I would guess that Iowa voters who are serious about their responsibility would watch it. I'm not from Iowa, so I couldn't say for sure, but from all accounts that I've read, Iowans are very open to this kind of campaign material, particularly the type who never miss a caucus.

We just need to make sure they don't run these at the same time that other channels are running re-runs of "Matlock" and "Murder, She Wrote".

Who the hell is going to sit down and watch a 30 minute campaign commercial? And may I ask you who would sit down and watch a 30 minute advertisement for a product? Those seem to work just fine.

Well, I guess you're right about that.

I vaguely remember seeing those and being entertained. The guy was kind of a goofball.

Normal people don't sit and watch a 30 minute informercial.

How much do you need to know about the paint stick, anyway?

Even more importantly, people actually buy the shit that infomercials sell, otherwise there wouldn't be any infomercials... it would just be a bad use of money.

If they were on in prime time, I could see it I guess. I think Perot's were.

I believe that this is the case. The rumor is that they'll be on during primetime. I've yet to see an official word about this though. They like to release things through grass roots whisper campaigns first.
