This season has been horrific. If I am Jared Allen, I have to find a new team. The Chiefs suck... and I would want out of this environment.

Carl should have paid him. Thanks again DUMBASS CARL.

He does not have a choice. If an agreement isn't reached, he'll receive the franchise tag.

Carl said if Allen does not sign he will be franchised. The only question will Carl be around to fulfil his promise?

I'd expect more out of a guy playing for a big payday.

I don't think he'll sign an extention with CP in office....I don't think he'll sign unless he thinks the team will dump the Horde of losers and bring in some true barbarians.

I do think he'll be tagged and be a Chief next year.....which may be why he's loafing the past 2 weeks, to make that option look less appealing.

He'll be a chief for 1 more year atleast, he won't take this load of crap.

Then he's only cutting his own throat. If he dogs it for a year or two under the tag, no one is going to pay him big bucks on the chance he might get back to form, IMO.

They're probably working on the contract right now. You don't want half of your Defense leaving. (DJ being the other half)

Car's going to trade him, heads-up for Pennington.

I would love to have Allen in Tampa.

Car's going to trade him, heads-up for Pennington. Now that's a sweet deal. With a guy like Chad behind center, we'll be winning Superbowls for the next 10 years.

I would love to spend money on a Jared Allen jersey... but refuse to until a new deal is done.

Agreed same here, my wife wants an Allen jersey but I'm letting her spend the cash until he renews his contract.

Allen will be back next year and my guess is that it will be with a new, lucrative contract. Peterson has had a lot more successes retaining these kinds of players than he's had failures. I'd be very comfortable buying a Jared Allen jersey at this point if that's the one you want.

They'll tag him if anything....Carl would really have a hard time filling the stadium if he didn't.

Should trade to get more talent. Think of it as Larry Johnson lite.

Nah, a good DE is both harder to find and likely to have a longer career (in terms of peak productivity) than a RB.
