on 1/2/08. Also, Letterman is in negotiations to come back. No word if the guys will write their own monologues or go without them.

And, no the strike is NOT over.

I was thinking the same thing. Isn't that crossing the picket? Everyone settles or nobody works should be the rules.

I think the writers should support this. This will show the audience how unfunny these guys are without writers.

I would argue that Conan (being a writer himself) would be just as funny if not funnier without a staff. His mostly improvised filmed segments are easily the best part of the show.

Leno, on the other hand, is unfunny with or without writers.

I heard that Letterman owns his show (WorldWidePants) and that he (his counsel) was able to negotiate his own deal with the writers and guild. Kind of cool if true.
