Has she backed candidates before or is this a black thing?I hadn't even considered the race angle, which is kind of cool (for me). She's a Chicago person and Obama is an Illinois guy. She's left-leaning and so is he. Perhaps it is about race, but I can't see that being a big factor.

The Race thing... It doesn't hurt.... bring along her audience for Obama.

If Obama's wife not nearly as famous can throw down the race card....

Ohprah's card is much larger with more appeal.
