Posted on another board..... know there is a strong anti-soccer sentiment on the board here.

Like there needs to be any proof. Soccer is for little girls and their moms, period.

It's not just the professionals... I love playing too, mainly recreationally anymore... used to play rec. with a guy, that every time you breathed on him first he'd go down clenching an ankle and then he'd get up and kick the ball straight at you... fun times...

That looked pretty bad. The second one was horrible, learn how to throw a god damn punch.

Anyway, Soccer can be a very physical and demanding sport. If you don't think so step away from your computer and play a season.

WF's #4 has that expression on his face that seems to say: "D'ya see, Mom and Dad? I've finally got the proof you've been lookin' for which should say to you: 'Hey! My little boy's a man!' and not 'Hey! My little boy looks relieved to finally have something to show which appears that he's really macho when, in fact, he's quite the opposite!'"

30 stitches and the actual quote:

"Yeah sure it hurts," Valentin said. "But you know, right now, I really don't care. We're national champions"

But the next time you sprain your thumb using your remote control, feel free to make fun of a soccer player...just make sure it isn't Zinadene Zidane

Yeah, i rahter play a game of football over soccer. Not becuase i dont like soccer, but because i would get way more tired in soccer then in football.

But that's half the fun... when I was in grad school, we had a big ol' grass field in the middle of all the buildings, we'd go out there on friday evenings, start playing around 4-4:30 and not quit until 7 or 7:30. By the time it was over, it was: limp back to the apartment, spend 30 minutes in the shower just standing there, grab a huge meal to eat, and then just fall down on the couch and spend the rest of the weekend playing video games as the legs recovered...

Wear yourself out and then go out and do it again next time... :)
