Do you have an in-game stands photo you can load?

LOL, have to laugh it off I guess, its too depressing to admit that it's true.

It would look just about the same as the one he posted.

More people on the sidelines than in the stands.

The ten most notable highlights of my trip to Arrowhead.

10. Got to see Tank Tyler make a tackle.
9. Got to see Samie Parker score a touchdown.
8. Got to see Kris Wilson score a touchdown.
7. Got some good barbeque, which is hard to find in Denver.
6. Got to yell things at Carl and Herm in a stadium that was so quiet that they had to have heard me.
5. Got to experience a lot of righteous indignation at the drooling subidiots at United Airlines who invalidated one of our tickets home and charged us $100 to get it back.
4. Got to write a scathing editorial about United Airlines on the cover of their in-flight magazine in Seat 17F that will make future 17Fers think twice about ever using that airline again.
3. Got a convertible as my rental car at no extra charge.
2. Got to see my friend patteeu and razz him about recent Supreme Court decisions that leaned toward liberal interpretations of the Bill of Rights.
1. Got to meet a great bunch of planeteers at the tailgating.

Okay, okay, that photo was taken about 20 minutes before the game started. Here's one during the game, though it's a bit dark.

I was sitting in Club when the game started.

Upper level was about 2/5 full.
Club level was about 2/5 full.
Lower level was about 3/5 full.

It was pretty damn sad...the sunny side had the majority of the occupants, and the shaded side was desolate.

I think nfl.com reported the total attendance around 43K.

If so, that's really not much more than half capacity.

Who do you think tipped United Airlines off about the suspicious nature of your travel plans?

I believe that was mid-way through the 1st quarter. The Chiefs just hadn't realized it yet.

Rain Man,

You live in Denver? I'm heading there on friday for 2 weeks. Is there a good place to watch the Chiefs games in town at all, or is everwhere a donkey show?

And just what Chiefs game will be on the telly in two weeks?

Most sports bars have Sunday Ticket, so both of the upcomming games will be on the tele.

Rain Man typically watches games at ESPNZone downtown. I went there once, and it was adequate, but pretty crowded.

KCJones has mentioned a place out in Littleton called the Mirage Cafe & Sports Bar that he likes pretty well, though I've never been there myself. According to him, there's always a decent Chiefs fan contingency there, though that might not be true since no one really wants to watch them anymore. :(

seemed to me like the LL was full but the club upper was vacant, cept for the fat guy way up top they showed on the jumbotron.

I will be staying in the Highlands Ranch area. Is Littleton near there at all? Down town is a bit of a journey, but im pretty sure there is a train that runs down there from HR, that is if its all working from the wreck they had there last week.

If you're driving, Mirage is going to be closer to HR than downtown would be.

Here's a map (http://maps.google.com/maps?daddr=8340+W+Coal+Mine+Ave,+Littleton,+CO+80123+(Mirage+Sports+Bar)&geocode=10730774545355915252,39.595180,-105.090722&dirflg=&saddr=Highlands+Ranch,+Douglas,+Colorado,+United+States&f=d&dq=mirage+loc:+8340+W+Coal+Mine+Ave,+Littleton,+CO+80123,+USA&sll=39.595163,-105.090723&sspn=0.918188,0.45857&ie=UTF8&lr=lang_en&hl=en&cd=1&ll=39.580026,-105.018311&spn=0.110343,0.32135&z=12&om=1)

As far as I know, the light rail's back up and running again, though.

There's a great Thai food place in or near Littleton. That would make an excellent pre-game meal.
