Ron Paul is deeply square, and every bit as deeply committed to your right not to be. "I don't gamble, but I'm the gambler's best friend," he says, boasting of his support for online casinos. He is a Second Amendment absolutist who doesn't own a gun. "I've only fired one a couple of times in my life. I've never gotten around to killing anything." It's an impressively, charmingly principled world view, though sometimes you've got to wonder how much Paul has in common with many of the people who support him.

Leave it to Tuck to put Paul's charms in terms everyone can relate to.

As opposed to the 'if I'm pissing you off, I know I'm backing the right guy' anti-evangelism of some of his supporters around here.

Interesting that Dennis Hof is still backing him even after one of his staffers made Air Force Amy cry.

Well, I won't own a gun but I support the right to one.

Same here, and it isn't it funny how he has voted AGAINST GUN CONTROL everytime it comes up as opposed to say Huckabee who is a half and halfer.

I think that's a gross mischaracterization of what goes on here. I think there are people who antagonize Paul supporters by calling him an isolationist and dangerous, and people react to that.

It's a two way street around here.

Are you crediting people like me for driving board members away from Ron Paul? Awesome. ;)

I do agree that Ron Paul is a great guy and a great Congressman though. Just not a great President.

I don't own a gun, but also am strongly opposed to gun control. I might buy want to buy one someday.
