I gotta give props to the folks at Logitech.

That remote is incredible.

Anyone looking for a relatively inexpensive universal remote should check out the Logitech Harmony 880.

From out of the box to running my entire system in 25 minutes.

Hooked the remote to my computer via USB cable, answered a few questions about the model numbers of my components and how thwy are connected, and it sets it up on it's own.

No need to "teach" it commands, it already knows them.

Time to go watch The Bourne Ultimatum on HD-DVD......

Hope everyone had a great Christmas.

I was at a party on Christmas eve that thankfully kept me from watching the Broncos game. During a rousing game of Pictionary one of the guys wrote on the whiteboard we were using, "T. Will you marry me?" He then revealed it to his girlfriend (who was on his team and who had been screaming that she couldn't see what he was doing). As she read the message he got down on a knee and offered her a ring (in the presence of his future in-laws, whose permission he had asked and been granted). She said "yes."

I've never seen anyone propose marriage to another. That was the highlight of this Christmas for me.

I have a question for you handyman-type tool enthusiasts - is the Skil tool brand good quality? I asked for a new cordless drill for Christmas and my Dad got me a four piece Skil cordless tool set. Lithium-ion, 18V - drill, sander, skill saw, circular saw. When he told me that he was about to buy the Mitsubishi 18V, lithium-ion cordless drill but saw this set for the same $$ and got it instead, I kind of cringed. Now, I'm grateful for his thoughtfulness, don't get me wrong, but I'd rather have 1 high quality tool than 4 mid-range quality tools, two of which I will rarely use. What do you guys think? Keep the set or trade it in?

Skil makes a good economy circular saw and an excellent commercial framers saw. Other than that, their products are aimed at infrequent use homeowners for which they're probably fine. But if you intend to use them commercially or more often than your average homeowner you might want something from DeWalt, Bosch, or Makita.
