just said Aquib Talib should go no lower than # 15 in the 2008 draft.

Thoughts?

Pick him. We couldn't do any worse, and he would be a crowd draw, in some respects.

Can he play LT?

I think he calls himself a draft expert.

Seriously though - I disagree with drafting another Defensive player with out first pick; it's just my opinion that we definitely need to build from the interior, that's how I see it. I don't want to see a Defensive player going until round 3.

It was a reference to a draft from years ago; the Colts GM at the time, funny shit.

He's a junior right? If that's really the value they are placing on him I'd have a hard time sticking around for one more year. #15 has to be worth at least a million in signing money.

Wow. Spending a top 8 pick on a corner who runs a 4.7 40. That's awesome. Lets also pick guys because they are locals rather than their talent. Sounds like an excellent idea to me.

I love this idea. Let's spend our top five pick on a corner, in a weak corner year, when we run a cover two. Brilliant!

Kiper may be a dumbass but he has nice hair.

:bravo:

Why not spend a top pick on a guy who will be told to not lock down a WR, no. Just guard this area.

How bout we just draft a punter..... Colquitt's leg is going to be broke by next year.......

dumb ass ideas...;..

I am not a fan of picking Talib. He always bites too hard on play action and relies on his athleticism to make it up. He won't be able to do that at this level.

Also, he tends to try to make the big play instead of the right play.

At this time, I think we have bigger needs (we can pick up a corner in later rounds) and better fits than Talib.

I'm a Kansas fan and if the Chiefs picked Talib with the 5/6/7th pick, I'd be a bit irritated.

I don't know if he's even a first rounder.

We'll trade for a later pick and get him that way.

I agree ....... IMHO, he is a late 1st rd, probally a high 2nd. He will get burned alot as a pro.

Why would he get burned alot, cause of his lack of speed?

Talib doesn't play fast enough imo

i think after a couple of years in the league we start hearing rumors about him being moving to safety.

Talib isn't good enough to go that high and he'll likely sink like a rock come combine time. Depending who comes out, Talib could be the 6th best corner in the class.

Would he be worth it to the chiefs to be drafted in teh 2nd or 3rd rnd if it comes to that

3rd maybe. Still wouldn't want him in the 2nd.

Would he be worth it to the chiefs to be drafted in teh 2nd or 3rd rnd if it comes to thatI'm not sure he'd be much better than what we have. He's a great college player.........beyond that time will tell. I just went and looked, Jordy Nelson had 137 yards against them and a 68 yard bomb where he blew right past Talib. Jordy is a 4th rounder at best.

I like Talib but no way is he a top pick, IMO. Chiefs need to fix that offensive line first and foremost.

Lets draft a long snapper!

It worked out quite well when we drafted Jared Allen.... Wasn't he penciled in as the long snapper also....

Cameron comes on as OC-Chief fans rejoice

If that's the route they want to go, I hope they are smart enouth to trade down and get something out of it. We are dealing with Carl though, so I won't bet on it.

It's a shock that Kiper hasn't been hired as a GM with that sort of brilliant analysis. There's no way Talib goes in the top 15, and why would you? It would be asinine, when you could trade down like 30 spots and get him anyway.
