Yeah, Derrick is the best we got

I not saying he is bad. But we don't know if he is HOF yet either.

Since Sims we have done pretty well.

LJ, DJ, Hali, Bowe.. (i'm not going to wave Siavii in just because we didn't pick in the first).

Pretty darn good.

The jury isn't out on Derrick Johnson. He's really good.

yeah, but he hasnt been the diffrencemaker we envisioned or been a probowler.

kawika mitchell outperformed him last week.

You're a f*cking idiot.

derrick johnson is not, and never will be, a pro bowler.

Pro-bowler? LB in the AFC is loaded with talent, it would take a special effort to make it. He is still young.

Derrick Johnson's problem is he plays in Kansas City on a shitty team. He's a pro bowl caliber player.

Yes, I watched the game, dumbass. Bringing up Kawika Mitchell in this topic is idiotic and I don't even want to know what point you were trying to make.

I think you need to do your homework if you think that FIRST round draft pick automatically equals Pro-bowlers.

Has he or hasn't he been a good pick? You're acting as if he needs to be a Hall of Famer to justify having been taken with the 15th pick in the draft. DJ has been very good and is arguably the best player on our defense.

kawika played like a probowler, his play in that game was a diffrencemaker.

ROFL One game, you f*cking stooge.

If you'd take Mitchell over DJ, you're an absolute baffoon.

retard, has DJ had that good of a game?
the answer is no (i cant wait forever for you to think).

Derrick Johnson's play against Indianapolis this year was better than anything Kawika Mitchell has ever accomplished on a football field. You might've realized that had you done more than looked at a box score. Being that I'm not sure you know enough about the game of football to evaluate it properly, it's probably best you stick with reading box scores.

Really? Another player you're having an opinion on who you haven't been watching? I'm impressed.

The Chiefs haven't taken an O-lineman 1999. This is the foundation of a team and a top pick should be the cornerstone. I also think that a free agent could fill this need. But OT and OG positions are a huge need this offseason.

Honestly, that list is pretty decent. My complaint with Carl has never been his first-round picks.

The problem isn't the first round picks, it's the fact that every draft we select 7 or 8 players and get about 2 who are decent.

2007 23 Dwayne Bowe
This looks like a solid pick.

2006 20 Tamba Hali
Yet again, a solid pick.

2005 15 Derrick Johnson
Derrick will be one of the great all-around outside backers someday.

2004 (traded out) 2nd: J.Siavii 4th: S.Parker
Two terrible players that have contributed nothing. Detroit got Kevin Jones with the pick we traded.

2003 27 Larry Johnson
Should have been a home run, but attitude problems make his future looks dimmer than it should be.

2002 06 Ryan Sims
A swing and a miss.

2001 (Trent Green)
Absolutely great. Too bad we didn't have a defense in '03.

2000 21 Sylvester Morris
One great game, and then became a poster child for medical insurance.

1999 14 John Tait
We miss you.

1998 27 Victor Riley
He's still playing... Not good enough to have been a first rounder though.

1997 13 Tony Gonzalez
Well, there are still a few records out there he hasn't broken, so I give this pick a C+.

1996 28 Jerome Woods
Started for years, and got into the probowl. Good pick.

1995 31 Trezelle Jenkins
This was a doozy. Just terrible.

1994 25 Greg Hill
We got a lot of mileage out of him, but he was never a first round talent. Not a good use of a first rounder.

1993 (Joe Montana)
Can't really argue with this one. We went from a decent team to a SuperBowl contender with this guy. Too bad it was just for a year and half.

1992 20 Dale Carter
Great pick. Got a handfull of years of excellent corner play from him before he took off for Denver and started sucking.

1991 21 Harvey Williams
Never really emerged as the talent that he should have been.

1990 13 Percy Snow
Injury, so he never even got a shot. Although he was badass in Tecmo.

1989 04 Derrick Thomas
Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy.

Honestly, that list is pretty decent. My complaint with Carl has never been his first-round picks.I see 4 on that list that were just plain bad. A first rounder should start pretty often for a team but there have been times that the player picked has had problems getting on the field.
