I'm thinking if he is still on the board when we pick we oughta remind them that NE will perhaps get him with SF's pick. That could earn us a couple of extra first day picks and still position us to get someone like OLT Clady in the first. Best of both worlds.

Ugly Duck assures me that he'll be gone because the Raiders will take him if they get a chance, but if he's still there, how about the Ravens?

Me too.

This conversation is a waste.

He's a perfect fit for Oakland.

Well, doesn't that defeat the purpose of drafting Michael Bush from last's year NFL Draft?

Nope.

What did they use on Bush, a 4th or 5th?

Not like they'd be wasting a pick, Bush has an injury history and McFadden is 10x the back Bush is.

Dallas has the ammuniation to make a move up, but that is a hell of drop from top 5 to our normal spot and the end of the draft.

Bush was a risk/reward pick in the 4th round...his impact on any future picks should be the same as Brodie Croyles impact on taking a QB..

If Bush recovers from his injury then they are in a great position. They have 2 very talented young backs that they can split and not kill either 1...prolonging both careers not giving 1 400 carries.

Deep RB year, no reason to do it.

Because they need a QB way more than RB, they think Norwood is the answer for them.

I was reading somewhere the other day that the Falcons brass think the one good thing that comes out of Petrino leaving is that they can actually draft Matt Ryan instead of having Brohm forced on them.

Plus they'd have to give up their first 3 picks. Both R1 and their R2.

Foolish even for Jerry Jones.

F*CK no, Clady is extremely overrated, and why the hell would one want to trade down when KC could have the pick of the litter

Oakland can't choke that pick away can they?

Atlanta needs a QB more than a RB.
But at pick #3? If McFadden was still there, surely they'd be able to trade down a few spots and still get their QB. Maybe the Jets or Pats would look to move up.

Unless Dallas has 2 first round picks this year, it would take their entire draft plus some high picks in next year's draft to move up from the upper 20's to #5.

According to this draft value chart (http://www.ourlads.com/nfldraftvalue.cfm), the 5th pick is worth 1700 pts. If we assumed that Dallas was picking at #26 in every round, which may be low given the weak field in the NFC playoffs, they have a total value for all their picks of 1261. They're still 500 pts short, which would amount to a 1st rounder next year plus some additional later picks.

The Jets have too many holes to patch, they can't afford to mortgage their future for a back, the year after they gave one a big FA contract.

The Pats draft well. Why would they spend more picks for a toy?

If Laurinatis or Keith Rivers is on the board, I'd bet they pull the trigger. Their LB corp is old. Either guy could step right in to Bruschi's role and not miss a beat.

If people expect us to take Ryan at 5, why would it be out of line for ATL to take him at 3?

It's all going to come down to how he's graded.

OK, thanks. They do have the ammunition then, but I agree that it's not going to happen. I can't imagine how frustrated I'd be if my team traded away two 1sts plus some sugar to get a RB.

Add McFadden to the Cowboys and they are probally the Super Bowl favrorite next year. Thats a catch 22 if you are a Boys fan.

The pats could trade down, get more picks, or another first next year, and still get a RB like Stewart out of Oregon...its good to be the kings...

I'd rather have Stewart and his low 1st price tag than McFadden and a top 3 price tag.

Yeah, but Dallas would have to give up A LOT to get him. I know Jerry Jones has a hard on for McFadden, but even he won't be dumb enough to pull the trigger on that one.

Dallas right now could move up to #7 with their two first round picks.

That is right, there are the only ones with two huh? Still, I do believe dirty Al will be picking up McFadden @ #3

I don't see them doing that, they can sit in their spot take the RB they want to pair with Barber as they let Jones walk. Then they can use their other one to take either a WR to pair with Owens or a Corner or a Safety, Dallas is a good team that is only gonna get better this draft will help them tons.

Our 1st and 4th, for their 1st and 2nd. We will basically give them 1800(-) points and get 1800(+) points.

They already have a top 5 talent at RB in Barber. They just refuse to let him carry the load for some reason. Jones should never step on the field for that team.

Barber isnt a HR hitter, like mcfadden is...

he can churn out alot 5-10 yard gains and pound it. Jones was the HR hitter for the boys but he sucks anyway

Clearly based on this game he's going to be a bust. He's gonna be a steal when the Chiefs pick him up early in the 2nd round.

That's not true.

Barber averages a run over 10 yards every 7.33 carries. That ranks him 4th in the NFL in that category. He had 28 runs over 10 yards on the season. And he only got 204 carries.

Dallas will get a safety and corner in this draft. People hate Roy Williams and are screaming for his head. He has no coverage skills what so ever. He reminds me of Pollard but Pollard atleast is young.
