He has amazing numbers and apparently a very lively arm.

But he's the same size as Croyle and actually lighter. :(

Yeah, I'm just interested to hopefully see a high-scoring, competetive game.

Sad to say, but the most interesting bowl game I've watched so far aside from Michigan/Florida has been Purdue/Central Michigan.

How about the play before where he ran around for 10 seconds before he threw it to the sidelines, only to have it go right through the defenders hands?

There are no words to describe how awful Brennan looks. I never considered him much of a prospect to begin with, but he's dropping like a rock as far as the NFL is concerned.

Somebody said it would be better for the fans if Georgia had played USC and Illinois vs. Hawaii. I agree but they couldn't do that for two reasons. First, the Rose Bowl couldn't preserve their precious "tradition" by not playing a Big 10 team. And second, there is an outside chance Hawaii would beat Illinois. In which case Hawaii would beat their chests and proclaim themselves National Champion. No, they needed someone who was pretty sure to thump Hawaii and send them home. Isn't that a hell of a way to pick bowl match ups?

I've never once said he was a the top QB, but "terrible" is also an exaggeration.

He is terrible. He's in a quarterback friendly offense and he'd look like this more often than not if he had to play legitimate competition.

Whatever perceived prospect status he has/had had everything to do with the hype he got from the numbers he put up. And that's it. I don't see how you could watch him play and act like his game translates to the NFL at all.

None of them should 'wow' scouts, by any means. None of them are particularly any good. Ainge, Henne, and Booty just have experience running an actual pro-style offense and could potentially develop into back-ups.

Ok my number question here is why is it a "gimmick offense" when this coach was a former NFL coach and basically is running what he ran in Atlanta?

It's a gimmick offense. It's designed to be quarterback friendly and it's designed to be effective(albeit not against top competition) without needing top talent to run it. The run and shoot, as they use it, hasn't been used in the NFL since the old Oilers.

There's a reason why Hawaii and Texas Tech can produce big numbers continually from their QBs despite not having legitimate quarterback talent running the system.

In no way, shape, or form is Colt Brennan more physically or mentally gifted than Brodie Croyle.

Healthier, yes. If he played in the SEC week in and week out with the offensive line Hawai'i puts out there, he'd be injured.

For the longest time I thought the whole SEC is bigger, stronger, faster was a bunch of bullshit. I'm starting to think this game illustrates perfectly what the SEC is all about. Brodie played in this conference, I'll give him some respect for that. He had a piss-poor line, and he had to play against programs similar to this.

Brennan's candy-boned. He tries to tough it out usually, but he's hurt quite often. And it'd only be more frequent going against much bigger and stronger guys at the next level.

More than the WAC sure, all the top conference teams have more...Croyle has more "tools" as far as arm strength and all that. I don't consider either one a great prospect. One plays in a QB friendly offense and has a funky release the other can't stay on the field.

Not to be a d*ck but I am a smart as* by nature.....If your out for a bowl game does that not equate to being out for the year?

It was a smartass remark about how Croyle wouldn't have made it to this game.

I wouldn't draft Colt Brennan with Brodie Croyle on my roster, I just don't think that's a good idea. To many questions about both and Brennan isn't very NFL ready and is in need of a lot of coaching which well I don't trust this team with.

Um did I say I'd use a first round pick on Brennan?

It's so unfortunate I have an opinion. Nevermind all the things I got right, it's all about how I'm wrong. Even when I'm right I get the stupid "why are you a ****in GM then" thing which is basically a "I have no response I'll jut be a dick" response.

I guess I should start being a total ass that rips the **** out of people personally, I've always gone against doing that, but **** everyone does it to me and it's cool.

If you wanna argue with what I said great, attack my opinion I'm all about that, but this personal shit is ****in stupid. I never do that to anyone...yet I get it constantly.

Attack?

Please. Just calling a spade a spade.

It's called a double standard, and sorry, but it gets old.

You really wonder why YOU "get it constantly?"

This is a PERFECT example. It's not about having an issue with your opinion. It's about having an issue about how that opinion is voiced.

When you CONSTANTLY bash any and every player in Red and Gold, it wears on people. Especially when your the basis of your arguments are not valid, or apply to "your players."

You've relentlessly bashed Croyle at every opportunity, knowing full well that he's playing behind one of the worst OL's in team history. You know too damn much about the game to discount the effect that has on his play.

Yet, when the Golden Boys Ryan and Brennan look like ass, the spin begins.

He's the whole team.

He has no help.

He only has a second to throw.

His receivers aren't helping him out.

The list goes on.

Those excuses don't apply to some people, but not to others. Using them just looks foolish.

I know the WAC isn't a tough conference by any means, but I'm pretty damn sure if you put KU or MU, even OU up against this Georgia team and it's really bad news.

So with that statement cant you at least give Brodie the chance to be coached? Now that So-Sorry is gone? (I know D. Curl is still here)

He (Brodie) just needs an O-line and some time to mature.

I'm no genious on this but if I were Hawaii and I wanted serious consideration as a powerful team I think I would schedule somebody in the pre season. I think Oklahoma, LSU, Michigan, Texas or Missouri would love to play you. Especially at your place. What a treat that would be for the players not to mention the recruits. It would also save the rest of us watching you get humiliated in the post season. Thanks, Skip

I think every player on the Chiefs sucks? Well right now the sad fact is most of them do...

And I absolutely judge them harshly they are on the team I root for, I want the best players, not to just be good enough.

This is also another made up falsehood thing around here, that I hate every player on the team.

That all depends.....my major beef as I've always said with Brodie Croyle is that he can't stay on the field. I don't think that relates to constantly bashing him anymore than the blind homers constantly saying he's the guy without him showing much.

I don't think he's the worst thing ever but he also hasn't shown me enough to say you don't consider Matt Ryan.

I dont feel any 1st or 2nd yr QB can come in and make a difference. What I dont understand is why Cutler who IMO makes terrible mistakes gets all the run about how he is the next Elway after 1 1/2 seasons. He has improved but not greatly. After 6 starts people are ready to release Brodie? He was hurt this season 2ce one for his back missed a game and one for his hand, missed 1/2 a game. I am notat liberty to call him out for that but I will say with experience comes the wisdom to not dive in after the guy that just picked you off and has 3 blockers running with him. As far as his back, an o line just might help that from happening so much in the future. He also needs to have the freedom to change plays at the line and not sacrifice himself to the play call.

If the Chiefs go into next season with Croyle I'm not going to set fire to the stadium I'm not that strongly against him I just don't feel he's "the guy". Honestly I hope he proves me wrong it would be a lot easier to win if he was.

Croyle hasn't had any chance at all. Mecca, you are waaay too quick to pronounce judgement on several situations. You must not understand the term "inadequate sample". Croyle played behind a terrible line at Alabama and played hurt much of his career there. And he didn't get hurt any more than Huard did behind our atrocious line. Yet you termed him "made of glass". Cut your hair, get a job or go to school. But smarten up.
