Jamaal Charles is the fourth Texas back to rush for more than 1,500 yards in a season.

The junior running back, who had 1,619 yards and 18 touchdowns this season, announced Wednesday he will enter the NFL draft.

That dude should do well in the NFL.

He came on strong at the end of the season but I don't know that he is ready for the next level. I think he would benefit from one more season at UT but I suppose that grabbing the money instead of risking a major injury makes financial sense for him.

It could be a deep year at RB.

We don't need a runningback.

Uh...maybe not in the first round, but I DO think the Chiefs need another option at RB. I'm thinking a mid-late round flyer on a certain RB from NWMSU might be worth a look.

Said it before: I just hope he doesn't end up in Denver. Charles could easily end up being the best back to come out of this draft. His breakaway speed might top McFadden's.

I would be happy if he ended up in KC with a pick somewhere on day two. With the type of runner LJ is he could get hurt alot more before it's all said and done and you can never have too much insurance at RB in my opinion. Jackie Battle is not insurance.

He is one fast mofo. I hope to hell he doesn't land in the AFC West. Smart move to leave for the NFL.

Charles isn't lasting anywhere close to Day 2. I really think he should be right in the mix with Stewart and Mendenhall to be the 2nd back off the board.

Charles is going to destroy the combine and has a great chance of being the 2nd RB off the board.

A deep RB class might make it more feasible to move LJ if the Chiefs can find a sucker. I know thats not very likely due to the salary cap hit....but I'll never forgive his cRap song.

He'll be gone in the first 2 rounds, I don't know if it's a brilliant move on his part though with all the RB's this year....

I don't know where he will go but I've always been impressed with Dantrell Savage out of OSU.

He's quick and has the ability to make guys miss.

He's a good runner and I'd like to see him get a shot somewhere too, but not many NFL backs come from that level of football... it would be nice to see him get a chance with the Chiefs in training camp but that's probably just the alumni glasses.
