For Skip or anyone else who may know.

I have a HR-20 DTV HD-DVR that keeps dropping audio, but ONLY on my HD Local channels.

It will drop for a second or two at a time, then right back to normal.

Anyone else have this issue?

Sorry bud, wish I knew. I'm a cable subscriber not sure for how long though. Glad to hear KCFish was able to help you out with your 'puter issue.

Try changing the channel to 10 and turning the power output up to 9.......

Buy a stronger antenna if they are OTA, if not, and it only happens on the Locals and not the regular channels (Disc HD, ESPN, Bravo, whatever), it's most likely a bottleneck/compression issue with the bandwidth for the channels, as DTV was notorious for compressing the rat shit out of their HD channels when they were MPEG 2. It wouldn't be as necessary w/ MPEG 4, but no company likes to use up bandwidth, it's expensive.

No antenna. Happens only on locals.

So, am I still going to have this issue if I have them swap out receivers?

I'd hate to do that, and lose all the programming I've DVR'd.
