Phobia and Dartgod fail to promote community.
Chiefsplanet consistently falls short of its actual potential.
The mods on this website are MTV stooges.

This forum has unbelievable potential but the 10th grade masturbation-as-recreation crowd bogs it down as just another sports = unprincipled domain website.

Chiefs fans are the most loyal and zealous in sports, yet Chiefs Planet continues to champion the pornographic, the uncivil, the most stupidly banal elements of sports talk at the expense of a real community of mutually supportive Chiefs fans.

With a minimum of moral standards imposition, Chiefs Planet could surge to become the most important sports franchise website community on the world wide web. Instead, it opts to support and endorse the the most vapid, hollow and unprincipled posters with drive by hate-posts, relentless persecution of religious members, and gratuitous exploitation of soft porn at the expense of adult men with families.

As much as the Planet constituency impugns Carl Peterson, at least he knows how to field a family-friendly product that endears fans to the team and its personalities.

Chiefs Planet seems to promote boorish and intolerant values that promulgate the view that people with values are somehow not real football fans.

Too bad. :shake:

I could be wrong, but I think that ChiefsCoalition fits the bill for what you seek. It's, at least, a lot more similar to your notion of a perfect forum than the Planet.

I imagine, though, that you enjoy your role of proselytizing to the sinners here. So the irony is that if the Planet became what you wanted, you'd probably wander off somewhere else to convert the heathens.

Thats why there is no real competition between sites because if you are happy at one you probably are not going to be happy at the other. Totally different approaches, ideals and communities.

I don't care for the masturbation, poop threads either but I also appreciate the mods hands off appoach to the community. It has bred a lot of self censorship and promotes the community disciplining their own. So you take the bad with the good for the sake of a free community.

This is a stupid poll to post amomg you civilain liberal wussies.

Real combat troopers know that homosexuality has no place in a combat formation. If people who prefer anal sex want to join, they join the support troops, but not front line infantry. If you want to be a trigger-puller, you join the men-only infantry. The infantry requires real men to kill other men. Queers can hide out in the rear echelon and fake the funk. Real Soldiers know the deal.

One would think that with all the bullets flying your way that you would have thicker skin.

Look at the thread topic. Is there anything there confrontational or insulting to other posters? Is there anything there calling a specific member out? If I single out a poster/member with a personal attack or bait in the tread topic, then its all good.

What is not good, and what neither you nor I should stand for in cyberspace is the kind of cheap shot, unsolicited attacks from fellow members as in this thread.

The community itself should censor such behavior in the interest of civility and congeniality.

As for your "bullet" comment, being shot at is expected when you take the field of battle against those sworn to destroy your way of life in war; being "shot at" personally by fellow Americans over something as shallow as sports opinions betrays a severely troubling weakness in our community.

Reminds me of a great line in a Western I can't think of the title. Man holds up a badge for the new sheriff. New Sheriff sees that it has a dent and comments that the person who was wearing it must have been lucky to stop that bullet. Man holding the badge says "yep he would have been if it wern't for all those other bullets flying in."

It was a check/confontation of uncivil behavior. By you catagorizing it as an attack on the whole community, you make all Planeteers out to be the mean-spirited, shallow and immature posters I reprove in my post.

I don't know what the actual %s are, but I assume that 60% of the posters here come to discuss Chiefs football, and 40% come to socialize with other members.

Unfortunately, that social behavior can degenerate into nasty, immature and coarse behavior unbecoming of our great repbublic. Too bad. :shake:

Too bad. :shake:

Dude, if you wanted to borrow that Jenna Jameson movie that bad, I would have done it.

I want to say thanks for putting together a great forum to talk Chiefs football. There are worse places to be (cough)NEPA Chiefs (cough).

This place rocks and am glad to be here. Everybody has an opinion but it is nice to share views and be able to express my opionion with out being shut down for it. Sure their is bickering and bitching but we are Chiefs family and everybody wants the same thing and that is to win a Super Bowl, we have different idieas how to get there and we can argue our point or agree with whomever we chose.

Thank you Chiefs Planet for having me this is a great place to be and keep up the good work Mods.

 Tattoo.

P.S. I am not trying to be a kiss ass either, this place really rocks!!

Better watch it....JD may head butt you in the balls lol

Ah, yes, the PPL. I hadn't heard that term in several years. IIRC, KCJ coined that term. It means everybody is out of step but him.

I wonder if Bob Dole knows his namesake is a KU grad. That's right, Bob Dole is a Jayhawk!!!

Bob Dole is quite aware of the real Bob Dole's history.

Bob Dole almost mentioned it himself during the real Bob Dole's opening remarks on the Orange Bowl broadcast.

Too bad. :shake:

your family would be embarrassed if they knew how you behaved on this forum....

you are one of a handful of supposed "adults" who has proven incapable of handling the freedom of personal responsibility...you need a nanny

For the record, I'm not actually a moderator any longer. My name appears due to some glitch in the beta software. The only thing I can do is research IP addresses.

smittysbar is no spy, but JDprick does send spies and thinks everybody is out to get him like he is something special  JDprick thinks that other message boards send spies and is trying to ruin his reputation. He ruined his own reputation, he puts people down who ever disagrees with him and he will lock down or remove post that don't go with his delusion brain thoughts.

I'm not here to nock on that guy, he is a jerk imo. I just want to say that there are other message boards that suck and Chiefs Planet is the best I have found so far at not sucking.

If anything, it's 60-39-1... can't forget that 1% whose only contributions are to remind everyone else he's better than them because he served his country, and to talk about how Martyball is superior to the only other philosophy in the NFL, Ramsification.

I'm as good at name recognition as anybody. But two on the board I barely remember. One whom which I've totally never seen on here, ever.

Chiefsfan12? Perhaps it's because he's only posted 3 times. Something's fishy with that.

As for your "bullet" comment, being shot at is expected when you take the field of battle against those sworn to destroy your way of life in war; being "shot at" personally by fellow Americans over something as shallow as sports opinions betrays a severely troubling weakness in our community.Come down off your high horse and remember your roots, when you were on the original Star BB you used to like to throw pot shots at people and understood that it was part of the interplay of an open community. You would think a soldier would appreciate the concept of free speech, you should also understand the friendly banter (sometimes even slightly mean spirited) of the banter of a BB filled with macho motivated boys, men and women. Wake up John or you will be driven away of your own accord once again.
