View Full Version : My Football World is Normal Again

Now that the Wild Card weekend has concluded, I feel normal when thinking about the Chiefs. Had we made the playoffs, we'd be out. So now all I have to endure is the usual jealousy watching other teams win the Super Bowl and the usual wait for next season...

The more things change, the more they remain the same. :banghead:

Today was a great day to rake leaves. I would have raked more angrily had we been playing today.

How many times have the Chiefs made the playoffs in the last 10 years?

3?

The reality is that the playoff appearences in the 90s were the aberration.

We are now back to the norm.

The so called toughest division in football
had it's first playoff win this century

Ancient history, the AFC South is the toughest now IMO.

Chargers Broncos and Chiefs
have made a few playoff appearences
after beating each other up the last 6-7 years

Indy Colts
Jacksonville Jaquars
Tenn Titans

all made playoffs

NFC East -- they've been sending three teams to the playoffs more years than not.

They actually win games when they get there. I don't think Denver has won one this decade, the Chiefs haven't in almost a generation. So far San Diego has underachieved.

They are making it, playing in the NFC though. Granted, the NFC has pretty much caught up, but it just happened.

I think they are second.

AFC South reminds me of how the AFC West was in the 90's. Colts - Donks, Jaguars - Chiefs, Titans - Raiders/Chargers.

Now the Bolts are where they're supposed to be. No big deal if they lose to Indy - they're supposed too.

Yep. Sadly it's been pretty easy to accept too. What's not easy is how we got here again.

I was too lazy to lookup Texans final record 8-8.....

though NFC East is very strong as well.
Dallas
NYG
Washington

Philly underachieved but managed 8-8.

just reminds how far AFCW gone down.

It sucks, no question. I am concerned Oakland is going to move up to respectability, and the Chiefs down to suckage for a while.

I grow weary, (of course I listen to Sirius too much), of hearing about the NFC East. To bad one of them has to win this weekend!

Uh, yeah, I'm pretty sure the Raiders had to win a few playoff games this century to get to the Super Bowl.

Its refreshing to know DenverFan is still sitting at home bagging on Rivers who beat old Rat and his Ratkins.

Go Bolts.

As long as Herm's gone when we are - I'm cool with that.

I think Vince Young had more to do with that than anything else, Mr. Reerun_KC. That guy is a disaster.

It has worked so well in so many places, like Oakland, Detroit and the other suckasses of the NFL. I don't think Herm ****ing Edwards is any brighter than those braintrusts.

ROFLMarty would have kicked the field goal on fourth and one from the goal line. The kicker would have missed it, and the Titans would have drove the field.

That's just how it is with him.
