I watched the debate this weekend. He did not come off well at all. He really didn't describe much of his view on policies other than bring home the troops and stop inflation. If that was someones only view of him, it wouldn't help.

I read that his town hall's did change the minds of some undecided voters to vote for him. They came right out and said it.

I'd imagine they decided to vote for someone else who has a chance to win.

Yeah, probably go vote Democrat then. I getcha!
Pubs have NO hope of winning the national election with more of the same coming out of the mouths of Huckleberry Benito McRomny for choices with subequent low turnout. That party is DEAD thanks to Bush and the NeoCons.

No they switched to Paul because he is the GOP's only chance in the national election.

I have a feeling you were one of those guys who was a big Cowboys fan in the 90's.

LOL, you've got me all wrong. I have a long, long history of backing the hopeless in both football and politics. 2004 is the first time since Reagan that I backed a winner, and by most accounts, he was an underdog going into the election.

Just saw some guy from New Republic on Tucker talking about all this racist stuff from Paul that they were planning on releasing tomorrow. Racist, homophobic, anti-semetic stuff. Apparently he called MLK a gay pedophile. Wild and wacky stuff. Will have to see how it all shakes out.

Why on Earth would anyone bother digging up dirt on Ron Paul? The only people I can see it helping are McCain and Obama who both want independent voters swinging their way. Is TNR known to be a supporter of either of those candidates?

Apparently the guy on Tucker is a Giuliani supporter, at least according to the Paulites I saw trying to slander him.

Well, at least we know those supporters from vanguard news network won't be going anywhere...

Oh so he was in 1984 but not in 1980.
I never heard he was an underdog in 1984 anywhere either.
I think your transposed the dates 1984 with 1980 when we debated this earlier.

I'm talking about GWB in 2004, not Reagan. And I'm not saying he was a huge underdog, but iirc, Kerry was polling ahead of him through most of the summer. I could be wrong about that though.
