View Full Version : What are the possibilities in your opinion that Chiefs front officers are amongst us?

By all means Mr. Fax, you must contain yourself when pondering such dynamic possibilities. Nothing good would come from your head spinning like a top and exploding into a mass of Fax matter. We'd all lose. Just take it in a little at a time.

Wouldn't surprise me. He could get a pretty good grasp on the "real" Chiefs fan if he did lurk from time-to-time. But, he's an important person with little time for the internets. I'm sure he has many leather-bound books and quite positive his home smells of rich mahogany.

I've always wondered who lurks behind some of our usernames. It's possible that front office staff are around here, but also possible that players themselves stop by from time to time. If nothing else, I'd wager that NewChief(Phin) isn't the only close relative that's hung around here in the past eight years.

The world may never know.

I think there is zero chance.

Otherwise, there would be so many changes coming out of the organization trying to prevent all the season ticket holders on here from not renewing their tickets, like so many claim.

Carl was a poor example, and really just humorous for me to think about. Lackies? Maybe, a Chiefs message board customer service agent? LMAO Who knows, but I wouldn't be one bit surprised to learn that the Chiefs actually pay someone to actively track the rants and raves of Chiefs fans on teh intraweb. Doesn't mean it's happening, just something that popped in my head.

I think they're here. They mostly post in the picture section showing things like the Chiefs' record, our offensive juggernaut, dedication to the fan, and other pr0nographic stuff. They never have anything good to "show" so it flies under the radar.

I had no idea he was related, he acted like it though. I kind of feel bad for some of the things I've said to him now. If he's related, it makes sense. I always thought he was just your average Chiefs fan that played in a bowling league with him or something.

What about Mr. Zouk?

Although his username could reference a strange, French musical genre, in actuality it sounds like the name of a scout ship captain sent by the Reptillians who are on record as being committed to the destruction of Earth and taking most of us prisoner to be used as slaves on a mining planet. It's more than possible that Carl has signed a treaty with those guys.

they would have to be inteligent enough to perform the necessary actions required to sign on to the internet and navigate their way to chiefsplanet.com.
considering the front offices' job performance i'd say there's less than a 50/50 chance any one of them could accomplish that even if it was part of their job description.
carl would give someone a multi year, multi million dollar contract to be the teams no. 1 internet navigator. of course the guy probably has arthritis and carpel tunel from being over worked at his last job as a data entry specialist.
herm would settle for just siging on to the planet. any attempt at navigating the board would be over doing it.

Just a guess, I can look up the figures, but Dodge is probably outselling the Titan many, many times over. I think the Titans ugliness is only exceeded by some Mitsubishi products. Dad and I talked about this subject. He thinks there are several issues that hurt not just Nissan but also the other Jap trucks. The big issues were dealers that sell them are located in urban areas were bigger trucks aren't as popular and also those who tend to by full size trucks are loyal not just to US trucks, but their particular brand as well.

Here locally we have a Nissan dealer and there are a lot of Titans around. But out in western KS, you didn't see any.

Seriously, for Japanese full sized trucks to see sales figures compared to the americans they will have to be willing to stick it out like they did in the 70s with car and compact truck sales. It takes time, lots of it.

As for incentives, I got the choice of 5k rebate or .9% financing - which is comparable to the US trucks out here. I have considered both Ford and Chevrolet (You've heard me share my track history with Dodge - they offer a lifetime warranty now, I'd be the only one that needs it I'm sure but I would need it a lot). I've had a number of Nissans and had great luck with all of them. Dad has had his for 4 years with no problems, and he's not seeing very many coming through the shop either. I figured I'd give the truck a shot.

I did some pecking around and found this site http://www.titantruckz.com/ Some loyal owners!
They have an effort going trying to keep Nissan from discontinueing the truck.
As you know, Nissan is not too far removed from being in trouble themselves. They have made great strides, but they may have bitten off more than they or Renault (major stock holder IIRC) can handle in the full size pick up market, at this time.

Good luck with your new truck!

Nissan just about went bankrupt a few years back. They merged with Renault (I think I would have found someone better myself) and started the entire new line of cars that are out today.

Don't really know why Nissan has had so much trouble. There was a brief stretch in the 80s where they weren't real solid, but from the mid 80s on they have been really dependable. But at the same time they can't seem to move the cars.

The full sized truck market is the toughest market for the Japs to break through on. Nissan isn't the only one struggling with that market. Honda sold some 50k full sized trucks last year inspite of all the great reviews. Add in what the gas prices are doing to the US truck sales, it's a hard market indeed.

You hit the nail on the head with an earlier post. Them boys are loyal! They take that Ford and Chevy truck thing serious, (Dodge is an also ran). One of my Dodge Buds just bought a new Silverado.

FWIW I hope like hell they and Toyota quit making them. But Toyota has a foothold with a lot of money.

You know what I think Nissan did wrong? You are going to laugh, but when they changed their name here from Datsun to Nissan. It cost a lot of money, a lot. Also,
I think it weakened their position against Toyota and Honda at the time, a very important time to them. At that time, they were not a serious competitor to the American brands, or that is what the Big three thought.

Weren't they Datsun until the '80s? My mother bought a Datsun that was as bad as any late '70s Mopar.

That would be bad, my daughter had a Honda that bad as well.

It was during to just after the switchover that things really seemed to go downhill for them. The older datsuns were quite solid. I had a 1980 Datsun pickup (the last year they called it Datsun) and it wasn't anywhere near the truck my '71 was (Though it still went for almost 150k miles before I traded it in on a '96 Dakota that gave me much more problems in less than a third of the miles).

Tiecher used to come on the KC Star board and answer fan questions (we ate that up, back in the day). Based on the frequency of his replies, it didn't appear he was very interested in us.

Also, Phobia has met everyone on the entire board, so if someone is a plant, he's keeping it a secret.

I've met more people from the Planet in person than he has. That Phobia guy has lost his burst.:harumph:

Dude, you should know the Chiefs pretty much loathe me. I pissed Carl off good at least once this year.
